I think we all need yoga in our lives. We may just misunderstand it because of how the mainstream perpetuates body type, acrobatics, contortions and demographic. That’s why I’m so grateful for my movement path & am thankful for those who have trusted me to support their experience like the brother Trey Jackson who has been receiving private classes 🙏🏽. I look forward to continuing this work with you, Trey 𓋹.
For those who may not know me, I was certified in the Kemetic Yoga Skills Method with Baba Yirser Ra Hotep in 2017 & I’ve been teaching yoga from an African perspective since 2015 after my first certification as a Basu in Smai Tawi. Since then, my journey in movement experience has included vinyasa, somatic, embodied, functional mobility and trauma-sensitive facilitation. And to think that it all started in a dojo with Tai Chi & Kung Fu thanks to Sensei Suleimon ☯️
For those who know me & have been with me on this journey over the years, thank you & I hope you are moving your body in healthy ways that serve you. If you need help with that, I got you 😉.
