ππ My First Silky Mittz Skillz Tuesday Session! ππ
Tonight was my first ever Silky Mittz session and I had so much fun! It was really cool getting to skate and train with players from different clubs. We all worked together, learned new things, and got to practise our own skills too.
Coach Brian was really welcoming and made me feel comfortable straight away. Everyone was friendly and helped make it such a fun session. I learned loads and can't wait to keep improving!
If you're looking for an extra hockey session during the week, I would definitely recommend giving Silky Mittz a try. It's great fun and a brilliant way to work on your game.
The best part is I get to be back on the rink with Coach Brian again this Sunday at Lions IHC Jnr training! π¦π I can't wait for that and next week's session already.
A big thank you to everyone for making me feel so welcome. I'm really looking forward to improving even more as I move into Under 10s as my main age group next season!

π¦π Another Great Week of Hockey Training! ππ¦
I've had a really busy week with my Lion Cubs and Lions Jnr training sessions! πͺ
This week I've been working hard on improving my speed, being more aggressive in battles for the puck, and listening carefully to all the advice my coaches have been giving me. Every coach has different tips and tricks, and I'm trying my best to take everything in and use it when I'm on the rink.
One of my favourite things this week was practising my shooting with the club's new target trainer! π―π₯
It's great fun trying to hit all the targets, and it's helping me work on my accuracy and getting my shots away quicker.
I know there's still lots for me to learn, but I want to keep getting better every session, work hard, and make my coaches, teammates, and family proud. π
Thank you to all the coaches who have been helping me over the last few weeks. I'm excited to keep learning, improving, and having fun playing the sport I love! β€οΈπ

Rocking my new Silky Mittz Skillz jersey tonight at Lions IHC Jnr training! π¦π
Another tough session in the books, but every skate is a chance to improve. I'm pushing myself to become a better player and taking on board all the advice and knowledge that Rene Bernardo shared with me when I had the opportunity to play for him at the PAMA Cup and with the Desert Rats Hockey Tour at NARCh.
Always learning. Always improving. πͺπ₯

πΉ This has to be one of my favourite clips from the Tsunami Cup.
There's something about the overhead angle that really shows what happens in those few seconds before the puck drops. The focus, anticipation, and battle to win possession. It's a simple face-off, but to me it sums up everything I love about hockey.
Thanks to everyone who made the weekend such a great experience. Roll on the next tournament! ππ₯π¦

ππ LION CUBS MADE WAVES AT THE TSUNAMI CUP! ππ
What a weekend for our Lion Cubs!
We knew we were bringing one of the youngest squads in the tournament, with 3 Under 8s, 5 Under 10s, and just 1 Under 12 player making up our team. It was a huge challenge, but one that every single Cub embraced from the first puck drop to the final whistle.
A special mention goes to Lucas, who captained the side superbly throughout the weekend. He led by example, encouraged his teammates, and helped guide many of our younger Cubs through their first experience of tournament hockey at this level.
For several of our players, this was their very first tournament against older and more experienced opposition. The confidence they gained over the course of the weekend was incredible to see. By the final games, players who had started the weekend quietly were making plays, moving into space, supporting teammates, and even attempting the passing combinations they had been watching our more experienced Cubs make.
The results may not have gone our way, but this weekend was never just about winning. It was about learning, developing, and gaining valuable experience playing one and sometimes even two age groups above. Every player leaves the Tsunami Cup a better hockey player than when they arrived, and that experience will be invaluable when they eventually step into full Under 12 hockey.
A huge shout-out must go to our rock at the back, Jenson, who was outstanding throughout the tournament and deservedly took home the Goalkeeper of the Tournament award! π₯
π
What makes Jenson's achievement even more impressive is that he is one of our Under 8 players. His calm, confident performances gave the whole team belief and allowed our Cubs to focus on playing the game the right way in front of him. We could not be prouder of what he achieved over the weekend.
Most importantly, our Cubs showed what Lion Cubs hockey is all about. They worked hard for one another, supported each other after every shift, and never stopped battling. The friendships, encouragement, and teamwork on display meant far more than any scoreline.
Finally, thank you to the coaches, parents, tournament organisers, and all of the players from other teams who made our young side feel so welcome. The fist bumps, kind words, encouragement, and support shown to our Cubs after every game meant the world to them and helped make the weekend such a fantastic experience.
ππ¦ We arrived as one of the youngest teams in the competition...
π ...and left having made some big waves.

ππ₯ WHAT AN AMAZING DAY AT THE MAYHEM TRAINING CAMP IN DUNDEE! π₯π
I had such a great time today at the Mayhem Hockey Camp! Not only did I get to work on my hockey skills, but I also got to see some awesome friends I made at the PAMA Cup in Germany π©πͺ and make some new friends too. Some of them I'll even be playing against this weekend at the Tsunami Cup, which makes it even more exciting! π
One of the biggest surprises of the day was being named Player of the Day! π I was so proud when all of the coaches chose me for my hard work. They said I never stopped skating, always tracked back, got straight back up when I fell over, and never gave up. Those are all things I've been working really hard on during my time with PGKA Moseheads and the Desert Rats, so it means a lot that people are starting to notice the effort I'm putting in.
A huge thank you to all the coaches who gave up their time to help us improve today. You were all awesome, and I learned so much from every session! π
I'm coming home tired, happy, and even more excited for the season ahead. Time to get ready for the Tsunami Cup this weekend! ππ

ππ Dundee Hockey Camp Day! ππ
Excited to be hitting the rink in Dundee today at the Mayhem Hockey Camp! Looking forward to learning new skills, working hard, and having some fun on the rink with a great group of players.
Iβm also loving the jersey design, definitely one of my favourites! ππ₯
Even better, I get to share the rink with my PGKA Mooseheads U8s teammate Parker, which makes the experience even more special.
Let's go! πͺππ

ππ WHAT AN AMAZING TOURNAMENT! ππ
I had so much fun playing with the Desert Rats Under 10s this weekend!
It was really cool getting to play with C**t and Parker from my Under 8 team, and also getting to play again with all my Under 8 teammates from last season. Everyone on the team was so nice to me and all the older players and coaches were amazing. They helped me a lot and made me feel part of the team from the very start. ππ
I knew playing Under 10s would be harder and that I wouldn't get as many shifts as I do in Under 8s, but I loved every minute of it. It showed me what I need to work on and train for during the 2026/27 season if I want the chance to come back and play at this level again. πͺ
We were really unlucky to lose our semi-final. We worked so hard to come back and got within one goal with only a minute left to play. Even though we didn't make the final, I am really proud to say I was part of this team because everyone gave their best.
A huge thank you to all the players and coaches who helped me, encouraged me and taught me lots during the tournament. I learned so much from all of you.
A special thank you to Desert Rats Hockey Tour and Coach Rene Bernardo for asking me to be part of this amazing team. It is something I will never forget! ππ
From winning a PAMA cup Silver Medal with the Under 8s, to becoming a NARCh Players Under 8 Gold Medal Champion, and then reaching another semi-final with the Desert Rats Under 10s, this has been an unforgettable trip full of memories, lessons and experiences that will stay with me forever. Every team, coach and teammate has helped me learn something new, and I'm heading home with not only medals but also a much better understanding of what it takes to compete at the next level. π₯π₯ππ
My games are finished now, but my adventure isn't over! I can't wait to explore more of the USA, cheer on some of the other teams over the next few days and enjoy the rest of the tournament before heading home.
When I get back, it's time to work hard and use everything I have learned from the PAMA and NARCH tournaments to become a better hockey player. π₯π
Thank you to everyone who has supported me on this journey. It has been the best hockey trip ever! π¦ππ
