Join us as we celebrate coming to the end of summer! Milonga Rouge is focused on high-energy social dancing. Throw on your favorite bright summer colors and hit the floor while DJ Marina Vinokur keeps the room moving all night with an upbeat, contagious mix of traditional and alternative tracks!

We are honored to host a professional performance showcase by Tanya Spektor & Dennis Cante. Widely recognized as the founders and producers behind the massive Gavito Tango Festival, they will be bringing their beautiful partner connection to the floor for an elegant, captivating performance. They are also stepping in to teach our intermediate pre-social class, giving you a wonderful opportunity to learn from them.

Theme & Dress Code:
Pink & Blue – Dress to impress! Wear very bright and fun colors!
Semi-formal attire and dance shoes required.
No jeans or t-shirts on the dance floor.

At ATOMIC, we want everyone who walks through our doors to feel welcome, comfortable, and excited to dance.

With classes and social dancing happening seven days a week across so many different dance communities, we have a lot of people sharing our floors and we think taking care of each other is part of what makes a great dance community.

So here are two things we want everyone to know:

How we take care of each other on the dance floor:
Be inclusive. Respect boundaries. Be kind. Look out for each other. It’s always OK to say no to a dance, and it’s always OK for someone else to say no to you.

How to ask for help when you need it:
If something happens that makes you uncomfortable, concerns you, or just doesn’t feel right, please come talk to us. You can approach a teacher, DJ, host, front desk staff member, manager, or one of the owners.

You don’t have to know exactly what to say:
You don’t have to decide whether it’s “serious enough.”
You don’t have to have been the person directly involved.

You can simply say, “Hey, can I talk to someone?”

We’ll take it from there.

We love our dance communities and want ATOMIC to be a place where people can learn, dance, make friends, try something new, and have a really great time.

Práctica Rouge 🪭 is a space to evolve a new generation of Tango dancers in Orange County, CA. We practice Tango in a guided environment while having a bit of extra fun—with Tango line dancing and practice games.  Additionally we double down on Tango education with a focus on learning the tango orchestras, featuring 2 traditional and one modern orchestra each week.  We bring in established Tango DJs, while also offering Tango DJ instruction for newer DJs.  Additionally, we generally hang out and chat and sometimes share a potluck. 🙂 There’s a bunch of popular and inclusive Tango group classes beforehand starting at 6:15, so give them a try!  Tango might just be your next obsession.  

Práctica Rouge 🪭 happens every Sunday at ATOMIC Ballroom, in Irvine California, at 8:30pm.  The experience is hosted by Lauren Woods, Jessica Wilbert, and Shesha Marvin.  On 1st Sundays, we switch to Milonga Rouge, a formal affair, with both traditional and modern orchestras.
