Days after his Interlachen Junior-Senior High School boys basketball team fell to Newberry in the District 3-3A tournament semifinal round, 81-31, the 65-year-old Oxendine resigned as the Rams’ head coach, ending one of Putnam County’s greatest coaching runs ever.
