Summer is one of the best times to build endurance—but it's also when athletes are most likely to overdo it.
Here are three common mistakes we see:
❌ Ignoring hydration before the workout. ---- By the time you feel thirsty, you're already behind.
❌ Training too hard in the heat. ---- Adjust your effort, not your commitment. Slower paces in hot weather are expected.
❌ Skipping recovery. ---- Recovery isn't optional. It's part of the training plan.
The athletes who improve the most aren't always the ones who train the hardest.
They're the ones who train consistently and recover intentionally.
Which of these is your biggest challenge during summer training?
Share your answer below—we'd love to hear from you.

Easy Days Make You Faster
One of the biggest mistakes endurance athletes make is believing every workout has to be hard to be effective.
The reality?
Fitness doesn't improve during your hardest workout.
It improves afterward—when your body has time to recover and adapt.
Recovery runs increase blood flow, reduce muscle soreness, and prepare you for the next quality session without adding unnecessary fatigue.
If every workout feels like a race, you're likely training tired instead of training smarter.
This week, challenge yourself to slow down on your easy days. Trust the process, stay consistent, and let recovery work for you.
What pace do you struggle with more—running too fast on easy days or too slow?

"Confidence isn't something I can give an athlete."
"It has to be earned.
One workout.
One recovery day.
One difficult conversation.
One race.
Over time those moments become proof that you're stronger than you thought."
