I used to see letters after someone’s name as alphabet soup.
I knew it meant hours of practice, study and mastery but to an outsider of a particular field, I had no idea what they really signified.
Then I began coaching, a field where letters aren’t necessary, but they really mean something and last week I received the renewal of my PCC Credential through the International Coaching Federation.
To those outside the coaching space, I say it’s like having the equivalent of your Masters Degree in the field of Coaching.
It represents, hundreds of hours of classroom education, upholding a standard of ethics, exemplifying the core competencies, mentoring relationships with others and a commitment to elevating the profession.
Thank you to all my teachers, peers & clients who have contributed to this ongoing journey! I’m grateful!!

This is me working on vacation.
I don’t usually do it.
In fact, I’m famous for helping clients not do it either.
I know how valuable disconnection time is for our brains & bodies.
Yet, there are occasions that working on vacation can’t be helped...and this was one.
When that happens, I have a few ground rules I abide by to protect my vacation:
1 - I pre-plan the hours set aside for working and only work those times.
2 - I pre-plan the work to be done and don’t allow other items to creep in.
3 - I communicate beforehand where I’m making an exception and everything else will be looked at upon my return to the office.
4 - I don’t worry or think about the work before or after those times.
