Understanding Competitive Swimming Levels & Time Standards
Sometimes all those letters—B, BB, A, AA, AAA, AAAA—and all the different championship meets can get a little confusing! So here’s a visual to help put the progression into perspective. (Thanks Swim Moms NJ)
USA Swimming Motivational Times are benchmarks, not necessarily qualifying times for a specific meet. They give swimmers a way to see where they are now, track their progress, and set that next goal.
As swimmers continue to develop, the competition level grows too…..from local and developmental meets, to LSC Championships, Zones, Futures, Junior Nationals, Nationals and beyond.
And remember: every swimmer’s path looks different. A B time becoming a BB is worth celebrating just as much as an AA becoming an AAA. The goal is to keep improving, keep learning, and keep chasing YOUR next level.
These graphics are a great way to see the bigger picture of where all those little time drops can eventually take you!
One practice. One race. One time drop at a time.

Divisionals 2026… and that’s a wrap!
What a weekend it was. Three days filled with personal bests, podium finishes, finals swims, and countless moments that reminded us why we love this sport. Every swimmer who stepped onto the blocks represented the Warrior Way with determination, grit, and heart.
This season wasn’t just about medals or times. It was about showing up every day, trusting the process, supporting your teammates, and finding ways to be better than you were yesterday. Watching this team grow from the first day of practice to Championship season has been one of the most rewarding parts of coaching.
To our swimmers, thank you for believing in yourselves and in each other. To our families, thank you for every early morning, every ride to practice, and every cheer from the stands. Your support never goes unnoticed.
Now we celebrate what we accomplished, learn from what challenged us, and get ready for what’s next.
Warrior Strong. Warrior Proud. 💛🖤

Day 2 of Divisionals is in the books, and these Warriors continue to show what hard work looks like! 💛🖤
Out of 19 swimmers entered today, we earned 12 podium finishes and 9 consolation finals. The medals are exciting, but what makes me proud is seeing months of dedication and trusting the process.
One more day to go. Let’s stay focused, stay hungry, and keep doing things the Warrior Way.

This recognition is well deserved. Coach Tillage has continued to grow our program while leading with integrity, passion, and the kind of leadership that truly represents The Warrior Way. His vision, dedication, and commitment to every athlete have helped build something special, and we’re proud to be part of it.
We couldn’t agree more that you’re the best leader and Head Coach this program could ask for. Congratulations, Good Sir! We look forward to continuing to grow this program alongside you and seeing what the future holds.
