Video Game Palooza is a 501c3 that motivates interest in STEM research and learning by tapping into students’ natural passion for playing video games.
We create STEM games and training courseware for students in grades K-12 to teach them critical hands-on skills in engineering, science, technology and mathematics. The goal is to inspire the students to relate the newly acquired information to their classwork and real world situations. We hope to direct the kids towards future careers in highly sought after technology fields that interest them. W
e work with video game developers who require a workforce trained with critical skills in science, engineering, technology and mathematics. These developers and other industry experts seek the next-generation workforce that holds valuable 21st Century skills in communications, critical thinking, collaboration and creativity. Our founders are passionate about diversity in gaming and fully support several initiatives to raise awareness to increase diversity by increasing women's roles in the video game industry throuh advocacy, mentorship and fundraising. Finally, we educate and inspire parents to relate to their children’s passion for video games and today’s portable technologies. The governance of gaming and electronic media at home is an important conversation that needs to be addressed in order to keep children safe and parents involved in a productive way as to bridge the generational technology gap.
