Our community is coming together to support neighbors impacted by recent flooding. Through September 4, we’re collecting new, unopened household cleaning supplies like laundry detergent, dish soap, disinfecting wipes, trash bags, paper towels and more. Bring your donations to the collection area at the front of your YMCA. Every donation, big or small, can help a family take the next step toward recovery.

For the past five years, Quanay has been a valued part of the Benjamin Harrison YMCA team, and we’re so grateful for everything she brings to our Y Family!

Celebrating our Benjamin Harrison YMCA Volunteer of the Year, Cindy!

For the past four years, Cindy has been a steady and dedicated presence at the Benjamin Harrison YMCA. Every Wednesday, she leads the packing of bags for our Senior Food Program, helping make sure older adults in our community have access to nutritious food. Through multiple leadership transitions, Cindy has continued to show up with the same reliability, care and servant heart, helping keep this important program strong and making an impact on hundreds of local seniors.

Cindy’s leadership reminds us that sometimes the biggest impact comes from simply showing up, serving others and doing the work week after week. We are incredibly grateful for her unwavering dedication and the difference she continues to make in the lives of our members and neighbors!

PARKING LOT UPDATE - We’re almost there! Our parking lot project is nearly complete, and we want to thank our members for your patience and flexibility throughout the process.

Tomorrow, August 27, crews will finish the final striping and painting. Please be aware of crews and temporary restrictions as this final work is completed. Thank you for hanging in there with us!

Parking lot improvements are coming!

Our parking lot will be resurfaced in three phases:
• Monday, August 24 (Pool gate will be unavailable)
• Tuesday, August 25
• Wednesday, August 26

Each day, a different section of the parking lot will be closed for work. Please refer to the map to see which area will be affected each day and plan accordingly.

This month’s celebration is extra special as we recognize Jacob as our Employee of the Month! For 5 years with YMCA of Greater Indianapolis and 3 years at the Benjamin Harrison YMCA, Jacob has made a lasting impact as our Wellness Director. His leadership, dedication and care for our members have meant so much to our Y community.

As Jacob heads to out-of-state to continue his career in fitness, we’re excited for his next chapter and grateful for the years he’s spent with us. Thank you, Jacob, and congratulations!
