🚨 BIG NEWS FOR BALL HOCKEY IN INDIANA! 🚨

The Indiana Ball Hockey Association is proud to announce the launch of the Northwest Indiana Ball Hockey League (NWIBHL)—the first official expansion league in IBHA history!

Based in Portage, Indiana, the NWIBHL will bring organized, competitive ball hockey to Northwest Indiana while operating under the IBHA umbrella. The league will feature an exciting 3-on-3 format, with players selected through a draft to create balanced, competitive teams from day one.

While NWIBHL will utilize its own league-specific rules and structure, gameplay will closely follow the USA Ball Hockey Rulebook, ensuring a fast-paced, competitive experience that aligns with the sport's national standards.

This is more than just a new league—it's the next step in growing the game of ball hockey across Indiana. We're excited to welcome new players, build a new hockey community, and continue expanding opportunities to play the sport we all love.

💥 The barn was buzzing Monday as teams prepared for our single-elimination playoffs, where one team showed absolute dominance and became the third and newest EBHL Champion. 💥

In Game 1, The #1 Hydra 🐍 wasted no time making a statement, taking down the #4 Heartland Corn Kings 🌽 6-1 to punch their ticket to the final.

Then in Game 2, the #2 Midwest Blizzard ❄ took control of the game early, up 3-0 after the first period. The #3 Indy Heist 💰 scored 3 unanswered near the end of the game, but it wasn't enough to continue their 2026 season.

That set the stage for the championship matchup, and The Hydra left no doubt. Riding the momentum from the opening round, they overwhelmed the Blizzard 7-1 to cap off a dominant playoff run. 💪

Three games. Two convincing wins. One championship.
