Must See Racing 410 Pavement Winged Warriors and Delaware Speedway Announce Event Date Change
Delaware, Ontario — Must See Racing (MSR) 410 Pavement Winged Warriors and Delaware Speedway have jointly announced that their scheduled event originally set for Friday, August 7, 2026, has been rescheduled to Friday, September 4, 2026.
Due to an unforeseen scheduling conflict affecting the event, officials from both Must See Racing and Delaware Speedway worked together to find a solution that would preserve the race rather than cancel it. After careful consideration, both organizations agreed that moving the event to September 4 was the best decision for the competitors, teams, partners, and, most importantly, the fans.
"From the beginning, our priority has been to put on the best possible show," said representatives from both organizations. "Rather than lose one of the most anticipated races of the season, we felt it was important to work together and find a date that allows everyone to experience the excitement of the 410 Pavement Winged Warriors at Delaware Speedway."
The new Labor Day weekend date creates an exciting opportunity for race fans and competitors alike while also opening the door for something even bigger in the future.
Officials from Must See Racing and Delaware Speedway are currently exploring plans that could lead to a major announcement for the 2027 season. Discussions are underway regarding the possibility of another premier open-wheel racing series joining the action-packed 410 Pavement Winged Warriors for what could become one of the marquee open-wheel racing events in North America.
While details are still being finalized, both organizations are committed to building an event that exceeds expectations and continues to grow the tradition of elite pavement open-wheel racing.
"We're excited about what the future may hold," officials added. "Our focus has always been on giving our fans the very best racing experience possible. This schedule adjustment not only ensures this year's event will take place, but it also allows us to continue working toward an even bigger vision for 2027."
Fans are encouraged to mark their calendars for Friday, September 4, 2026, as the Must See Racing 410 Pavement Winged Warriors return to Delaware Speedway for an evening of high-speed, edge-of-your-seat open-wheel racing.

ALLUM REFLECTS ON HIS BIG WIN

July 20, 2026 - Indianapolis, Indiana - It's been over a week since Taylorsville, North Carolina driver Brady Allum won the biggest race of his young career. He did the unthinkable, he held off Bobby Santos III, the master of winged pavement racing, and scored his first career pavement sprint car victory of any kind.

His July 11, 2026, Must See Racing Sprint Series victory at Owosso Speedway in Ovid, Michigan was huge. The win was very popular among fans who had just witnessed the exciting affair. Fan reaction moments after the checkered flag waved told the whole story. The win was worth $5400 and made the long trip back to North Carolina much easier for Allum and his father Chad.

Since then, Allum has had a lot of time to reflect on the night and how it has changed his career.

"That was absolutely the biggest win of my career so far" proclaimed Allum recently. "The one thing that sticks out is we have been fighting so many problems over the last couple of years since I've been running sprint cars, from being a rookie, to relearning things. Since I've been working with Aaron Pierce things have really picked up. We knew we had the speed and we were finally able to capitalize on it."

What started out as a disappointing night with a qualifying effort of only eleventh quick finished with a Cinderella ending.

"After qualifying I wasn't happy with the car" remembers Allum. "My dad and Aaron (Pierce) asked me what was wrong. I told them the driver hasn't showed up yet, that's what's wrong. Right before the heat race, they looked at the lineup and told me this was my time to make up for it."

By winning his heat race, Allum was able to gain a spot into the inversion. His qualifying time allowed him to earn the pole position for the feature event, and the rest is now history.

"The motor we had is a really old twelve valve 410. It only makes about 800 hp. It's a smaller 410 and isn't as big as some of the other motors in the wing cars. All I knew was I had to get off of the corners first. If I was side-by-side with Bobby (Santos) leaving a corner, He would beat me the second half of the straightway. All I knew was I had to get out of the hole faster and better. If I could do that, I could almost slide him into turn one, and take his line away, to the point it would make him get back into single file.

"This whole experience has been great for me and my dad. He's been super happy and stoked for it. He believed in me and knew it was only a matter of time before we did it. We soaked it in all the way on the drive home. I received texts and calls from people all over the country from family, friends, and people I raced against all the way home. I actually may have just landed a sponsor because of winning that race and might be able to do some more winged pavement racing in the future.

"After the race Bobby, his crew, and his dad came over and congratulated me. That was really cool. He's been really supportive the few wing races that we've ran. He told me he was happy to see me running so well with these guys. That was probably the coolest moment of the whole night, having himself and his family come up to me and congratulate me.

"I couldn't see the scoreboard because of the way it is angled. I knew somebody was back there late in the race but had no idea who it might be until he stuck his nose in there. I knew somebody was coming regardless. I just told myself to not make any mistakes. The ones I did make luckily happed at times when I had a big lead, and nobody could capitalize on it.

"One problem I encountered in the race was I took the steering wheel off under a red flag. I felt something under the throttle pedal. A zeus button was stuck under there. When I went back out, I put my steering wheel on upside down. When I was chasing the car after being tight, the steering wheel being off and out of position and was a challenge.

"I think the minute I took the checkered it hit me that I'd just won a Must See Racing event. I slowed down a lot, enjoyed that moment, and soaked it all in".

Allum realizes this win was made possible from the Jennerstown, Pennsylvania 500 Sprint Car Tour rainout of that race he had originally planned to compete in. That race was cancelled the day before and the Owosso Must See Racing event emerged as another possible option despite only five prior winged pavement sprint car starts.

Allum described his career night in one sentence. "If it wasn't for the Jennerstown rainout, we wouldn't be having this conversation" concluded Allum.

ALLUM HOLDS OFF SANTOS III FOR FIRST CAREER OWOSSO MUST SEE VICTORY

July 11, 2026 – Ovid, Michigan – Brady Allum pulled off an upset win Saturday night at Owosso Speedway to score his first career Must See Racing feature event in only his third career series start. The win was worth $5400 for Allum’s efforts.

The Taylorsville, North Carolina driver had originally planned to compete in the non-winged 500 Sprint Car Tour event at Jennerstown, Pennsylvania Saturday night. An early Friday afternoon cancelation of that event, due to Saturday’s forecasted rain there, opened up the opportunity for Allum to compete in tonight’s Must See Racing event.

After qualifying a disappointing eleventh earlier in the evening, it didn’t appear Allum would have a chance to compete for the win. A heat race win gained him a spot in the inversion and a chance to start from the pole position.

When the green flag dropped Allum took the lead but was instantly fighting to hold the top spot from a hard charging Charlie Schultz. Allum would eventually secure the top spot from Schultz. An early red flag situation for the blown motor of Jimmy McCune Jr. allowed Schultz another opportunity to challenge for the lead on a double-file restart.

On the restart Allum was able to reclaim the top spot and began to build a sizeable lead over second place Bobby Santos III at that point. Two late race cautions would give Santos III the opportunity to challenge for the top spot to no avail. Allum would drag Santos III into the first turn on both occasions to fend off the brief assaults.

With less than 10 laps remaining, Santos III began slowly reeling in Allum and one last challenge for the lead appeared to be imminent. On the final turn of the last lap, Allum got sideways, and that’s all Santos III needed. He got alongside Allum and the duo raced side-by-side to the checkered. Allum edged Santos III for the win at the stripe by less than a car length.

“I was fighting the car being tight on the last lap” explained Allum in victory lane. “I knew if I gave up the bottom, I was gonna hurt myself. Once I got tight going into three, I just stayed on the gas, on the bottom, and hoped he (Santos III) wouldn’t get a good run.
“This is actually my non-winged car. It wasn’t even supposed to be here this weekend. At the last minute we welded some wing posts on it and decided to come here. If it wasn’t for the Jennerstown rainout, we wouldn’t be here tonight” a jubilant Allum concluded.

Jimmy McCune was third followed by Ryan Litt and Kevin Mingus rounding out the top five.

Sixteen-year-old Colton Bettis was the nights P1 Chassis Fast Time Award winner. His 12.337 second lap was good enough for a $500 cash bonus from Chaz Hambling and P1 Chassis.

McCune was the TTI Machine heat race #1 winner. Allum was the Steadfast For Veterans heat race #2 winner. Joe Liguori was the Big D Energy Drink heat #3 winner.
