Tune in to the SITREP tonight to catch the recap of the King of the Mountain race this last weekend.
King of the Mountain Recap
The OSS drivers gave it everything at UMI King of the Mountain 8.
This field was stacked with some of the best drivers in the country, and every spot had to be earned.
J.J. Mallrich showed up and showed why he runs at the top, qualifying 5th and making multiple rounds in the Shootout.
Brian Peacoe has only a handful of events under his belt since completely rebuilding the car. After dominating Best of the Fest at Camaro & F-Body Fest, he proved at King of the Mountain that he belongs with the front runners, making his first-ever Shootout appearance.
Nick Barnett continues to prove he has one of the most well-rounded cars in the sport. Two weeks ago, he was making 9-second passes at Havlik’s, then turned around and ran with some of the best at King of the Mountain.
Lisa Berry was the highest overall OSS finisher in 25th place, but even that was not enough to make the Shootout with how strong the Super Late class was.
Matt Ramirez was on his way to a solid qualifying finish and looked poised to make a deep run into the Shootout. Unfortunately, the car had other plans. His attitude through it all showed exactly why we are proud to have him on the team. Poise, character, and professionalism even when the weekend does not go your way.
We are proud of this team and the effort they put in at King of the Mountain.
