🏁 UMI King of the Mountain — Shootout Bound! 🏁

Qualifying is officially complete at UMI Motorsports Park, and we're headed to the King of the Mountain Shootout!

Friday gave us six runs on Course 1 with a seriously competitive Late Class field. We continued finding speed throughout the session:

47.659 → 47.378 → 47.162 → 46.837

The 46.837 came on the final run of the day and put the #82 1999 Camaro 4th in Late Class heading into Saturday.

Saturday brought a completely different course and a shortened schedule. With thunderstorms expected later today, UMI moved the shootout up to 2:30 PM ET, leaving only the morning session to get our Day 2 qualifying time.

We put down a 36.131 on Course 2.

King of the Mountain qualifying combines the fastest run from each day:

Day 1: 46.837
Day 2: 36.131
Combined: 82.968

That puts the #82 Camaro 5th in Late Class and into the Top-12 King of the Mountain Shootout!

The Late field couldn't be much tighter around us. Only 0.214 seconds separates 4th through 7th after two days and two completely different courses.

Now none of those qualifying times matter.

The field is set, and we're headed to the King of the Mountain Shootout.

I'm currently 4th in the late class after day one of qualifying at UMI's King of the Mountain!

2026 UMI's Muscle On The Mountain wrap up!

What an incredible weekend at UMI Muscle on the Mountain 4.0 at UMI Motorsports Park!
The Mallrich Motorsports Camaro came out strong from the start, earning the #1 qualifying position for the three-round Shootout against an incredibly talented field of competitors in Mid Class.

Through the first two rounds, we stayed focused and delivered when it mattered most, advancing through the Shootout and ultimately facing Brian Harvey in the final round. After an intense battle, Mallrich Motorsports came away with the victory and the 2026 Muscle on the Mountain 4.0 Shootout Championship!

This win is especially meaningful as it marks our fourth Muscle on the Mountain Shootout Class Championship, a testament to the hard work, preparation, support from so many people who make this possible, and God’s faithfulness every step of the way.

A special thank you to Ryan and Ashley Kirkwood, Ramey Womer, and the entire UMI staff for putting on another outstanding event. Your dedication continues to make Muscle on the Mountain one of the premier events in grassroots motorsports.
