I used to dread mornings, convinced my stiffness was just how it was going to be.
Last week Katrina sent me a message that made me tear up.
She'd spent two years waking up with joint pain so intense she needed 20 minutes just to feel steady enough to walk down the stairs. Her doctor said it was normal for her age. Her trainer told her to stretch more. Nothing changed.
Three months ago she joined my program. Not because she believed it would work, but because she was desperate to feel like herself again.
Yesterday she texted me: "Leslie, I woke up and walked straight to the kitchen. No pain. No stiffness. I actually forgot what mornings used to feel like."
Here's what shifted for her: she stopped forcing her body through high-intensity workouts that spiked inflammation. She started eating to support her changing hormones instead of restricting calories. She gave her body the active recovery it was begging for.
Her body wasn't broken. It just needed a different strategy.
If you're waking up stiff and exhausted, wondering if this is just your life now, I promise you it doesn't have to be.

For the menopausal woman who's doing everything right... but still waking up exhausted and in pain.
You're eating healthy.
You're trying to stay active.
You're taking the supplements.
You're doing everything you've been told to do...
Yet every morning your body feels like it's fighting against you.
If you've started wondering,
"Is this just what getting older feels like?"
I want you to know something...
It's probably not your fault.
Tuesday (July 14), in my FREE webinar, I'm going to show you why so many menopausal women stay stuck with joint pain and fatigue—even when they're doing everything "right."
Here's what you'll learn:
✅ Why treating your symptoms without understanding the real reason they're happening keeps you stuck.
✅ The hormonal changes during menopause that can drive inflammation, joint pain, fatigue, muscle loss, and slower recovery—and why so many women have never had this explained to them.
✅ Why the diet and exercise advice that worked in your 30s and 40s can actually work against your body during menopause.
✅ The simple framework I use to help women stop guessing and start supporting their changing bodies.
✅ Why the first step isn't trying another diet or workout—it's understanding what's actually happening in your body before choosing a solution.
You don't have to keep wondering why nothing seems to work anymore.
There is a reason.
And once you understand it, everything changes.

If you're eating all the right foods but still gaining weight, please stop blaming your discipline.
Your body doesn't need more restriction. It needs meal timing that works with your changing hormones.
Here's what changed for me at 47:
I was doing everything 'right'. Protein at every meal, whole foods, tracking portions. But my body held onto every calorie like I was starving.
Turns out, when estrogen drops, insulin sensitivity shifts throughout the day. The same breakfast that used to fuel me for hours now left me exhausted and craving sugar by 10am.
The shift: I started eating more earlier in the day and keeping dinner lighter. My energy improved, cravings eased, and I finally felt like my body was working with me again.
Within two weeks, the constant bloating eased. The afternoon crashes stopped. My body finally felt like it was working with me again, not against me.
Your menopausal body isn't broken. It's just operating on different rules now 💕

If you wake up stiff and achy and think it's just what happens now, please read this.
Your morning joint pain isn't about getting older. It's about inflammation, and menopause changes everything about how your body manages it.
Here's what's actually happening:
Estrogen is one of your body's most powerful anti-inflammatory hormones. When it drops in perimenopause and menopause, inflammation spikes, especially overnight when you're not moving.
That's why you wake up feeling like you aged 20 years while you slept.
Cortisol, which normally dips at night to let you rest and repair, often stays elevated in menopause due to stress and sleep disruption. High cortisol drives more inflammation, especially in your joints.
And here's the part most women don't know: your body's ability to clear inflammatory cytokines slows down without estrogen. So inflammation literally builds up while you sleep, then hits you the second you try to get out of bed.
This isn't aging. This is your body responding to a hormone shift, and there are specific strategies that work with your body to calm that inflammation and restore your mornings.
I teach all of this inside my H.E.A.L. Protocol, including the anti-inflammatory nutrition strategies and hormone-supportive movement that help you wake up feeling like yourself again.

This is for the woman who's eating less, moving more, and gaining weight anyway.
I've watched hundreds of women in perimenopause and menopause do everything they're told to do. Track every calorie. Push through exhaustion. Add more cardio. Cut out entire food groups.
And the scale keeps climbing.
Here's what almost no one tells you: menopause changes the rules. Your body is in a high-inflammation state now. That inflammation slows your metabolism, makes insulin resistance worse, and signals your body to store fat, especially around your middle.
So when you eat less and exercise more, you're actually adding MORE stress to an already inflamed system. Your cortisol stays elevated. Your body holds onto every calorie because it thinks you're in danger.
You're not broken. You're not lazy. You're not doing it wrong.
Your body needs a different strategy now.
Inside the carousel, I'm breaking down exactly why the old rules stopped working and what's actually happening in your body. If you've been blaming yourself for weight gain you can't control, this will give you so much relief.
Save this so you can come back to it when you need the reminder that you're not the problem 💕

Many women assume their symptoms are simply aging.
But inflammation often plays a much bigger role than people realize.
Common signs include:
• morning stiffness
• aching joints
• fatigue
• brain fog
• prolonged soreness after exercise
The good news?
You have more influence than you think.
The foods you eat, the way you move, your sleep habits, and your recovery all matter.
You don't have to overhaul your life overnight.
Small supportive changes practiced consistently can create meaningful improvements over time.
That's the foundation of everything I teach inside The Menopause Kitchen Rescue™. 💕
Which symptom shows up most often for you?

One of the biggest mistakes I see menopausal women make is trying to eat less and less.
Less calories.
Less carbs.
Less food.
Meanwhile they're exhausted, inflamed, struggling with cravings, and wondering why nothing is working.
Menopause is not a season for punishment.
It's a season for nourishment.
Your body needs support.
Not starvation.
This mindset shift is one of the biggest reasons women begin feeling better when they start following the strategies I teach inside The Menopause Kitchen Rescueâ„¢.
Because feeling better shouldn't require suffering. 💕
Have you ever tried eating less only to feel worse?

One of the hardest things about menopause for me personally was this...
I was already a trainer.
I understood nutrition.
I exercised consistently.
And suddenly my body felt completely different.
The weight gain.
The joint pain.
The afternoon exhaustion.
Honestly, I thought I was doing something wrong.
But the deeper I researched, the more I discovered that menopause changes inflammation, recovery, metabolism, sleep, and muscle retention.
What worked in my 30s wasn't working in my late 40s.
And that's exactly why I became so passionate about helping other women understand what is actually happening inside their bodies.
If menopause blindsided me...
I know it can blindside you too.
You're not failing.
You may simply need a different strategy now. 💕
