Part I – Could it be true that Bram Stoker did not fulfill all of the requirements for copyright of the US edition of Dracula with the Library of Congress back in 1899?

Prior to publishing by Doubleday and Company in New York, Bram had to have his novel serialized in at least two newspapers, which he did. Then he had to provide two copies of the novel, and fill out the two index cards to be filed by the Library of Congress.

I was very suspect of this urban legend, so I decided to get to the bottom of this myself…….
