Always great seeing WVFC alumni representing at the collegiate level! WVFC alum Deryn Doamekpor and Alcorn State take on UNC today in Chapel Hill.

Yesterday, three more WVFC alumni shared the field as Annie Cimino and Aurelia Kirby of Rhodes College faced Ashley Green and DePauw University.

From teammates at WVFC to competing on the collegiate stage, we love seeing our alumni continue their soccer journeys. Proud of all four of you and excited to keep following your success!

WVFC U13 Girls Tryouts ⚽️

WVFC will be holding U13 Girls tryouts on September 27th from 1:00–2:30 PM at Shawnee Field 3. The tryout is open to any girl who is not currently registered with another club. Middle school players are allowed to attend per WVSSAC rules.

WVFC School Soccer Roundup | Week 3 ⚽️

Another big week of school soccer across the state! Here are just some of the WVFC players making an impact for their teams this week.

Hebo Nahla scored the game winning goal against Cabell Midland on Thursday, then added a goal and an assist Saturday to lead George Washington to a 2-1 win over The Linsly School.

Emma Hosaflook recorded her first hat trick of the season.

Aaden Rodighiero continues his incredible start for Chapmanville, now up to 15 goals in just 5 games.

Sophomore Adrick Rodighiero is up to 9 goals through 6 games for Chapmanville.

Kaleb Shaffer scored a brace against Winfield, while Roy Torres also found the back of the net against the Generals.

Freshman Kase Legg converted from the penalty spot in a big matchup against Nitro.

Mac Holmes scored for Cabell Midland against Hurricane, while Tanner Gum and Blake Benson each recorded assists for Hurricane.

Hyrum Fortney, Dax Adkins, Blake Dossier and Viggo Lopez have all found the back of the net this season for United Athletics. Hyrum represents our U13s, while Dax, Blake and Viggo play with our U14s.

Hurricane picked up three wins this week to improve to 5-0 on the season. Avery French recorded 5 goals and 1 assist, Aubree Welch added 2 goals and 1 assist, Aubrey Coiner had a goal and an assist, and Afton Escue scored her first career goal. Lucy Barnes also recorded three shutout halves in goal.

Senior Kendall Pyle made her season debut for Hurricane after returning from a major leg injury suffered in the spring.
