The article says it perfectly — Harper is the type of player every coach wants in their lineup. She competes every pitch, plays with relentless effort, and her hustle NEVER has to be coached. She gives you everything she has every single time she steps between the lines.

But what people see on game day is only a small piece of the story.

Reese is a long, athletic center fielder who can impact a game in a lot of different ways. At 5'8", she has the athleticism and range to cover a tremendous amount of ground in the outfield, but she can also flat-out produce at the plate.

She’s a natural competitor with a high softball IQ, and there really isn’t one single part of the game that defines her.

At the top of our lineup, LC sets the tone.

She consistently gives us quality at-bats, can drive the ball gap-to-gap and understands exactly what her job is depending on the situation. If we need her to swing away, she can do damage. If we need the short game, she can lay down a sacrifice or bunt for a hit.

And once she gets on base?

⚡ 𝗦𝗛𝗘 𝗖𝗔𝗡 𝗚𝗢.

Her 𝟮.𝟵𝟬 𝗛𝗢𝗠𝗘-𝗧𝗢-𝗙𝗜𝗥𝗦𝗧 speed combined with outstanding baserunning instincts makes her a constant problem for defenses.

Defensively, there’s one word I’ve used to describe LC:

Her quick hands, fast feet and fundamentals allow her to make difficult plays look routine at second base. Add in her athleticism and 𝟲𝟭 𝗠𝗣𝗛 𝗢𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗛𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗩𝗘𝗟𝗢𝗖𝗜𝗧𝗬, and she has the versatility to move into the outfield and continue making an impact.

And then you put her behind the plate.

That’s where Alyssa really separates herself.

She’s vocal, competitive, takes command of the game and embraces being the field general. But when you combine that leadership with her arm strength and quick release, you have a catcher who can completely change what an opposing team is willing to do on the bases.
