Join us for Week of Welcome!
The Motorsports Club at UAH will be hosting two events.
Tuesday we will host the Greenway Grand Prix, where you can get up close and personal with our Nissan Sentra competition vehicle, ask questions, and learn about the club.
Over the course of Tuesday AND Wednesday, we will also be hosting Sim Rigs in the CU, where students can try out virtual racing and compete for the best time of the day!
We’re excited to see YOU at Week of Welcome!

The Motorsports Club at UAH needs YOUR support!
Through the lifetime of this club, we have always needed funding to enhance our projects. With what we accomplished with limited funding, imagine what we could do with more.
In April 2026, the Motorsport Club at UAH was able to place 3rd in class and 14th overall in the Grassroots Motorsports 2K Challenge. This was done with a budget of 2,000 on the car, and was a wonderful exercise for the team.
Also in 2026, the Virtual Racing Project was able to compete in the Collegiate iRacing League, and has provided two sim rigs for students to use on campus.
We don't have much to show for FSAE, but that's because we haven't had the chance to start! The Motorsport Club at UAH was approved to compete in the Electric Division of Formula SAE this last spring. We will begin working in the fall to build a car worth competing with.

Happy Independence Day!
The Motorsports Club at UAH was honored to attend the Huntsville America’s 250th Parade, presented by the City of Huntsville. We were exited to be part of this celebration, and to represent as one of the student organizations at the University of Alabama in Huntsville.
Our students put in work this week to get the car ready for this amazing opportunity, thank you Kent Ballard and City of Huntsville, Alabama for allowing us to be part of it. Huntsville Salutes America's 250th

Autocross Event #5
Summer is here, but that doesn’t mean we’re stopping!
Our Vice President Connor Bingel has driven our Nissan Sentra at both events 4 AND 5 for the summer!
We love having different drivers in the seat to get feedback on what we can do to improve not only this car, but future projects. We also are thankful to SCK Racing for the photos! Supporting local photographers is something we’d love to do, so if you get any photos, let us know!

Summertime and Sentras
Summer is here, we don’t have a whole lot to post, our officers are busy preparing for the fall semester to greet new team members. A lot more takes place behind the scenes during this time of year than it does in the forefront.
CiL has wrapped up for the Virtual Racing Students, our other Teammates from out of state are back home, and we’re all excited to see you in the fall.
In the meantime, the officer team is working on preparations for obtaining and cleaning up our next 2K Challenge Car. These photos are of the 2026 challenge car, nicknamed Jessie. There aren’t many old photos of the car, so this one will have to do!

It’s time for a Throwback Thursday!
With summer arriving, we have time to step back and take a look at where we’ve come from.
Formerly working in a parking lot on campus, with street lights and tools provided by team members, the 2021 iteration of our club featured a 98’ grand prix gtp racecar named “Bessie”.
Bessie was used Huntsville Speedway in short track racing in a class titled “Hot Shots” for budget cars. Bessie performed well and even won a few trophies, one being a first place trophy which you can sometimes spot at our events!
While we no longer participate in this kind of racing, we still keep photos around to look back on. Thank you to our Motorsports and UAH alumni, we hope to see you again sometime! If you’d like to be tagged, let us know!

PodiumOne Field Trip!
Last Friday, members from our club were invited to test out some of PodiumOne’s racing simulators. We had an amazing opportunity to meet with real racers and practice on what the pros use!
PodiumOne is a leading manufacturer and distributor for racing simulators based in Nashville. PodiumOne uses virtual reality, 6-point motion, and true-to-life direct drive to give drivers as real a feel as possible.
This was a fantastic opportunity for our virtual racing team students, and we look forward to seeing what else PodiumOne has to offer! Thank you and !

Grassroots Recap!
The Grassroots 2k challenge was this past weekend, and it was a blast! We had a fantastic time talking to other universities and giving it our all.
The UAH Motorsports team placed 3rd in class and 15th overall! With Oliver Dibble as our driver, we placed 2nd in Drag Racing, and we placed 2nd in Autocross, with a little help from the great Randy Pobst!
The Sentra could’ve looked a little prettier for the concourse scoring, but we made do!
Despite the challenges we faced getting there, our team still showed up bright and early, and kept up morale through the weekend.
This team has absolutely flourished under the leadership of club President Kyle Fehr and Vice President Craig Kenady, who will be graduating and moving on to greater projects! We hope to see them return and check us out as alumni! A shout out to our other upcoming graduate Kade Corbin for leading the virtual racing team, who have an upcoming trip to PodiumOne!
A sincere thank you to our current sponsors:
