🥧 MY PERFECT PIE CRUST! Save this one for pie season 🍁For one 9-inch crust:• 180g (1½ cups) all-purpose flour• 115g (½ cup / 1 stick) VERY cold unsalted butter, cubed• ½ tsp fine salt• 1 tsp sugar (for sweet pies)• 45–60g (3–4 tbsp) ice water, as neededHow to make it:-Mix flour, salt + sugar.-Add in the cold butter, leaving visible pea-sized pieces and a few larger flat pieces.-Start with about 3 tbsp ice water and mix gently. Add more 1 tsp at a time only if needed.-Stop adding water when the dough holds together when you squeeze it. It should still look shaggy!-Press the dough together DO NOT knead it.-Shape into a disc, wrap + chill for at least 1 hour before rolling.✨ The secret: Cold butter + minimal water + don’t overwork your dough!! Those visible pieces of butter create the flaky layers!And yes, I’ll always tell you to use a scale if you have one. 😂 Grams = consistent pie crust every single time. 🥧
