Hello everyone,

There are only seven weeks left until our Placer Pete's October event registration closes, and we are getting everything dialed in for a fantastic gathering!

As a reminder, this year's event is specially focused on the 250th anniversary of the United States. To properly celebrate this milestone, we have made several unique changes to our normal program that you won't want to miss.

We also have a special one-day-only event on Saturday for beginners to help them learn prospecting techniques from the experts. We realize that some people can only come out for a day, and we are setting up a special program for that.

**Important Details:**
* **Registration:** Please remember to go to the www.placerpetesgoldcamp.com website in order to register. Registering now would be greatly appreciated so we can get our plans in effect.
* **Meals:** Meals will be available during the event with a recommended donation of $8 per meal. Use the registration process to let us know what meals you would like. I owe High Grade a count as quickly as I can get one.
* **Donations & Support:** Donations for the coin hunt and the event are greatly appreciated as well.

Spent 3 days digging at Placer Pete, the small revovery, just a few pieces was a 3 shovel sample in a layer. Seemed to be ok so we went back to the spot and dug for more. The spread out gold receovery was day 1 and the second more compacted gold was the day one and two receovery. The dirt picture was the pay layer. After looking closely at the layers we have decided that this is a good paylayer and should be sampled in may more places. This dirt layer (very close up picture) appears to be very wide spread in the dig area and could be very profitable. The video is the dig area.
