WHAT A RIDE! While most are back, and a few are on the last leg to being home... we want to say THANK YOU one more time for each and every one of you making the haul and representing HCD at the 2026 Sportsman Team Finals in Cordova, IL! We are NOTHING without you all and we KNOW it!
Team Finals are great for alot of reason, but can definitely be a bubble buster when it gets down to the Main Event and there are no do overs or buy backs. You take the chance of making some rounds or it may be a one and done. Many times all we take away from a whole weekend is the experience... and quite honestly... it's worth more down the road! But man... when you can say you've made some rounds... against people you have NEVER known or ran against... you build/grow from just that one round! While we are appreciative of EVERY single racer who made the journey and gave it their all... We want to share with you some of the racers who were lucky and resilient enough to go some rounds and earn some ca$h!

It was a GREAT Team Finals! We couldn't have done it without the help of all the Racers and our Racing Family!
I want to personally THANK Julie Peterson, Deb Nickerson, Kay Delfs, Amber Nickerson, Jessica Hansen, Lacy Bales and the many, many others who pitched in and helped out with the food, team spirit bleacher set up, pictures, updates, clean ups and the many, many, other tasks I'm sure I'm unaware of... while I had to sit this one out.😅😁 THANK YOU for making it less stressful! There's no Family, like the Drag Racing Family! ❤️

While we have SOOO MUCH and MANY to celebrate! We have to share today's Top winner... Sportsman Runner Up CHRIS BONSALL! HUGE WIN for Chris and HCD! Until you're sitting in a car in the staging lanes... sometimes... for what seems FOREVER... until you're pulled against who knows who... which could be the guy who's won Team and World Finals...multiple times... DON'T JUDGE. This goes for ANY CLASS... ANY RACER! WE... HCD... are PROUD of EVERY. SINGLE. RACER. who made the journey to Cordova! TONIGHT... We celebrate CHRIS BONSALL! CONGRATULATIONS CHRIS! WELL DONE!

I may be a little biased... but I think we have THEE BEST Team around! They are NOT your typical racers... these are people who have been by our side through the ups, downs, and turn arounds! Some for years, and some for a season... and we couldn't appreciate them more! They race all year against eachother... but this ONE weekend, they get to race as a TEAM... a FAMILY...OUR TEAM, OUR FAMILY! Probably our FAVORITE weekend of the year!
