Last night I watched the city turn into streaks of warm light through the rain. Embers focuses on that moment where reds and golds stream across grey and black, and droplets break the glow into tiny sparks. It adds a calm, urban energy to a room without shouting. I'm sharing Rainbow Ripples, where light, color, and motion come together. Soft diagonal ribbons and a subtle granular surface let warm golds, teals, and pale magenta shift into a quiet, rhythmic pattern that feels both lively and calming. I found an angle of Auguste Rodin’s Eve After The Fall at the Chicago Institute of Art that pulls you close — her arms folded protectively and the bowed posture read as both fragile and quietly resolute. There’s a calm, charged presence in the form that rewards a slow look and changes how a room feels. I found this scene near Mammoth, CA, where a lone pine rises from a rugged pile of rocks beneath a clear, deep blue sky. The simple contrast between the upright tree and the low, angular stones gives the image a quiet, grounded presence. It’s a plain reminder that solitude and strength can go hand in hand. On my first visit to Millennium Park I looked up at Cloud Gate, the Bean, and watched the skyline and sky fold into its curve. Later when I looked back at the image I noticed a pigeon perched on the rim, a small, unexpected detail that bridged the real sky and its reflection. That quiet surprise is why Bird Bean stuck with me. If you like work that rewards a second look, see it here: https://www.sffphotography.com/warehouse-open-edition-prints/art_print_products/bird-bean

Rusted Symphony #2 is a study in how metal changes over time, with layers of burnt orange and iron brown set against pale, blue-green streaks. I was drawn to the contrast between pitted, flaking patches and smoother ribbons where moisture once ran, and to the diagonal scars and vertical drips that guide the eye. I'm honored it was selected for an international exhibition at PH21 Gallery in Budapest.
