One great cue for paddlers is “Put your body weight on the blade.” When the catch is solid, you should feel as though you’re moving the boat past the paddle, rather than dragging the paddle backward through the water.
For racing, add one rule: Don’t sacrifice stroke quality just because the rate goes up. A faster sloppy stroke isn’t necessarily a faster boat. 🐉🔥

Um.. Actually, the ones seated in the rockets seat are the strongest paddlers who can give the boat the much needed boost especially in the last few meters of a race! Wherever you sit in the dragon boat, your contribution is equally important!!
Despite the heat, the crew stayed focused—working through drills, dialing in technique and timing, then putting it all together with continuous paddling. No shortcuts, no complaints—just paddlers putting in the work and making every stroke count.
Sometimes it’s not about how many people are in the boat. It’s about the effort, discipline, and heart of the ones who show up. 🔥🐲

Sleep and resting are just as important as your water time for maximizing your paddling potential! Have a good night’s sleep! (though we don’t recommend sleeping on the boat during practice!)
