At Houston Bluebonnets, our goalkeepers don’t train on a different field or in a separate environment.

They train alongside their teammates, at the same facility, during the same sessions, because we believe goalkeepers should be fully integrated into the way the game is played.

Dedicated goalkeeper coaching remains an important part of every session, but so does understanding the rhythm of the team, communicating with teammates, and making decisions within the game.

Different position.

Having a dedicated Player Care Lead isn’t an extra. It’s part of our commitment to creating an environment where every player feels known, valued, and supported.

Sometimes that means tying a boot before training. Sometimes it’s a phone call, a check-in after a difficult week, or simply taking the time to listen.

Because while football develops players, genuine care helps develop people.

It’s often the smallest moments that leave the biggest impact.
