This is me at 45 and my dad(turning 79 in a few days).
We can both do full-range squats. Why?
We practice. That’s it.
Can’t do a full squat yet? Totally okay. Go only as low as you can without pain, and keep building from there.
Just don’t wait. Every day you skip it, your body gets better at NOT doing the things you want it to do.

Dancer’s Twist!
This is a great one to do in the morning, right after you wake up, or in the evening just before you go to bed.
**One of the easiest ways we know to ruin your spine in a hurry is to twist while slouching, a.k.a. spinal flexion.
Unfortunately, that describes almost every normally accepted yoga twist.
Though twisting while slouching is akin to poison, twisting through extension is like eating your veggies.
Try it out. Be sweet. Pay attention. Inhale. Let us know if you have any questions.
Things to note:
If you feel any twinges in your knees or back, back off and try again. See if you can change the direction by reaching a little longer through that straight arm before you rotate. Be mindful of keeping the front of your shoulder off the floor.

Sometimes life shows up and you get to practice yoga with mountains in the background.
But that’s not (necessarily) everyday life.
Sometimes beauty looks like your legs are burning, your tight are knees, you’re stuck in traffic, or you lost your balance.
Maybe instead of being serious and significant, you could be sweet to yourself. Just begin again.
Because mistakes are going to happen. There’s no way around it.
If you don’t give up, the good news is: You get better.
The only way to get good at anything is to be willing to be bad at it first.
Let it be hard.
Let it feel impossible.
Keep going.
✨ Enjoy the striving.
✨ Feel the significance.
✨ Then let it go.
If you dont invite them, they can't get the gifts you have.
Now price can be less of an issue.

We sharpen the tools in our toolkit for future moments that are as yet unknown. 🛠️✨
Since difficult feelings are part of the deal, perhaps the work is to develop the capacity to meet life as it unfolds.

Not beginner friendly but if you cannot get into a Handstand, you will still have fun!
In my 20s, I couldn’t do this 𝘢𝘯𝘺 of this and definitely not with kindness to myself. 🤗
Not because I was lazy but because I didn’t yet understand how to work 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 my body instead of against it.
One of my favorite things about getting older has been discovering that feeling better, getting stronger, moving with more freedom, kindness and grace is still available… Maybe now more than ever given 𝗡𝗢𝗪 is what we’ve got. 💚
You do not need to already be flexible, advanced, or “𝘨𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘢𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘨𝘢” to begin. A little bit really does go a long way and the sooner you start, the better. 💪
