The workout is going so well, and then….everybody’s favorite aka “Bulgarians Split squats
Love them or hate them, Bulgarians are one of the best Leg developing exercises.
Bulgarians have a variation, you can apply for power, quad development, glute development, absolute strength, speed, vertical, just about anything.
I know you hate them, they hurt so good.
Put them BACK in at least one of your legs days.

“It’s not about what you can do today, it’s about what you can recover from.” - .c.bowens
Great! You finally PR’d on a random Tuesday, but now your body is shot and you have to sit down for a couple weeks while you recover.
OR….
You could ramp it up gradually, then scale back, then ramp it up again over and over.
Whats the rush?
Accumulated fatigue is robbing you of long term progress.
Maxing out everyday sounds good, until you’re training yourself into the ground and now you have to take days or weeks off completely.
Unless you’re an enhanced athlete, a controlled approach that you can CONSISTENTLY build off of without frying your nervous system, is more important than a random Tuesday PR.
Some days are just about the movement.
Some days are for crawling out of the gym.
Some days are about feeling good.
Both days you need to train hard
Both days you need to train smart.
Try to
Want to
Would like to
Do or don’t. Failing is not the same as trying.
Confidence is built by finding out what you can do, what needs work, then building from there.
This idea that everything needs to be perfect out the gate is paralysis by analysis, at some point you have to go for it. Jumping out there once makes it easier to jump out there again.
You just have to start.

Everyone does things for different reasons, but sharing moments like these with people is one of the best feelings lol.

2-sum
Tryna move sum.
I haven’t seen 19mph on a mill since covid and that was me at 207lbs. I woke up today at 221lbs.
I haven’t been able to push anything past 17mph because that was my threshold, and my check hamstring lights come on
**I’m nobody’s speed coach, but life after powerlifting is more about usable strength, than raw power.
Long story short
Fast af boooyyyyy!
