🎉 WELCOME TO THE TEAM! 🎉
CrossFit Greater Heights is thrilled to announce our newest coach — Nicole! 🙌
Nicole has been doing CrossFit since 2009 and coaching since 2010. Over the years she’s coached and managed at CrossFit Champions, co-owned Flying Fortress CrossFit in Galveston, and coached at BlackWolf CrossFit. She loves helping athletes of all experience levels build confidence, move well, and accomplish things they never thought possible.
Her coaching philosophy centers on meeting each athlete where they are and building sustainable progress through consistency, proper movement, and encouragement.
Outside the gym, Nicole is a Realtor here in Houston, a mom of two grown sons, and a proud grandma to two amazing grandsons. She’s also been involved in gymnastics and martial arts most of her life, earning a second-degree black belt in Taekwondo before discovering CrossFit. In her free time she enjoys hiking, reading, yoga, and traveling, and spending lots of time with family, friends, and her mini doodle Mabel.
Whether you’re brand new or have been doing CrossFit for years, Nicole’s goal is to help you become stronger, healthier, and enjoy the process along the way. She can’t wait to meet everyone and be part of your journey!
👋 Say hi to Coach Nicole next time you’re in the gym!

Building strength isn’t just about going heavier — it’s about training smarter.
At CrossFit Greater Heights, accessories and isolation work is highly emphasized to help fill the gaps that big lifts and metcons can miss: building support muscles, improving movement quality, reducing weak links, and addressing asymmetries before they become injuries.
Current training research and guidance also supports combining compound and isolation work to improve hypertrophy, strength, joint stability, and movement efficiency.
That matters for more than just aesthetics. It can help athletes generate force more efficiently, reinforce better mechanics, and support longevity in sport(s) by improving the tissues and patterns that keep you moving well under load.

Rest Days….
The most underrated performance enhancement that most people “Skip”
Planned/Programmed rest days are part of a training plan.
It is often misunderstood for “lack of training” instead of a planned recovery day.
Skipping rest day is just as significant as skipping leg day or skipping your runs or skipping sn**ch day.
It often takes a traumatic event to come to truth with the importance of rest days, but what if you avoid that traumatic event, missing out on training and/or gains and just stick to scheduled rest days.
Worth a thought 💭
