The history of Black August is important because it keeps alive the memory of Black resistance, political prisoners, sacrifice, and the generations who struggled for freedom and justice. It is a time to study our history, honor those who came before us, and understand how their experiences continue to shape conversations about liberation and self-determination today. When we know our history, we better understand our present.

We down each other when it comes to education and social status.
We attack each other over opinions, destroying the black family structure with gender wars and agendas.
We attack each other when it comes to religion and spiritual beliefs.
