Getting caught up on here . Working on 2 big jobs . One bigger than the other. Got the smaller one done . ** Serious upgrades- very clean . Julio brought his 84 GN (87 drive train) back in for a total Holley upgrade . Dominator efi w/ remote coils, Boost control, methanol control, 12.3 Prodash . Pulled the intake , all accessories, intercooler pipes, intake pipe for a total engine powder coat make over. Turbo cover ceramic. Turned out great! , Wilwood big brakes 12.88 up front and 12.15 out back. Big job considering they don’t make a correct kit for a Gbody. But for a 12 bolt. But made it work. With the hydroboost the car stops on a dime. Very impressive then the list of secondary installs . Boost liner hoodliner, 250 amp tuff stuff alternator w/ custom feed cable, lt4 starter , RJC billet pulleys , new ps pump, , injector harness, blow valve off install, radiator billet overflow reservoir and install, battery, window turbo racer, plus more!

More th2004r action last week. David W brought his transmission from a 87 Buick GN in. Complaint was : flair in 3rd. By the time I got it apart , the internals were all toast. I’ve seen this many times were there is a known problem and it left to fester. Well good news I got it work out for Dave & his son . Great people and I was happy to help out. It was a previous rebuilt by a “known “ Buick builder. Looked to be one of there entry level builds . I upgraded to one of my stage 2 builds with new quality parts and a new lock up non- billet 9.75 2800-3000 converter. Good stuff. Another Buick back on the road, much thanks.

Good product Alert :
Doing this post for Jon @ Boostliner. Hood liner turned out real nice . This was the 2nd one shipped. There was a problem durning the shipping and the liner got damaged. Jon stood behind the liner and sent another. 2nd had a mark from the protective plastic on it but easily came off with some goof off . Great communication with Jon and he has a quality part for out cars . Turned out great on Julio’s 1984 GN . The liner is a fresh product and I’m sure things will be done to make it even better . 👍 all a process folks

Getting some smaller jobs off the list-while waiting for parts for larger jobs.
James B brought his 87 GN in for some exhaust leaks. Installed some TA replacement header some years back and a crack developed under the turbo support. They are a solid header but once in awhile you’ll get an issue .
No problem I got things rolling and headed off to fabricator for welding . And I re surfaced the flanges . Along the way I noticed blue goo coming from the coil/ module. So we agreed to fix that problem as well. New ac delco coil and module , plugs and new wires as well. While it was in I got some new window fuzzies on the car. What a difference 👍. More to come on this car.

Bonus: Wanted to do a post just for big job on the center rack. Jose’s 87 GN that floated a valve after a new engine build. After we determined what was going on , it began 👍. He wanted a transformed car. So here we go. Holley Dominator efi going in , all new exhaust, all new fuel system , new steering , new axle, upper tubular a arms, new transmission stage 1, powder coated engine parts thanks to Scott Coates/ Son by coates , body bushings, all new brakes, new AC system plus more.. going to look great when it’s done . I’m into it right now. Doing 1 job at a time . Can become over whelming with everything but I like these jobs . Really transforming the car. I’ll be showing pics of the rebuild of the car going forward. Follow along with the build👍

Things are very Busy at the shop right now 👍. Behind as always but the work continues. I always like to take in one large job on one lift and smaller week jobs on the other.
Eric, from Waco sent me his very nice 86 Ttop GN. Great car but had runability problems so I went to work! Old and bad work on the car , so building a solid base on the systems is important.

Mike’s car back to life!

Another GN back running and on the road soon. Mike from San Antonio brought his 87 in because it was running terrible. Sat for years, bad work and neglect . All equal an unhappy Buick forsure. Did a new customer 5 hour check out on the car . Vitals ( compression, leak down , oil pressure)were good on the engine but everything around it was and is in despair.
Fuel system was a must and a complete system is what it needed. Then a new ignition system was in order to try and build a base on the car. Happy to report it’s running much much better. Has a driver header that was fixed years ago and now is cracked again. Definitely needs more work all the way around the car, but one step at a time .
