We need your help stocking up on CANDY for Homecoming!

Our football players and cheerleaders will be tossing candy during the Homecoming Parade on Thursday, October 1, and we’re asking our families and community to help us fill their bags!

Please consider donating a bag (or two!) of individually wrapped candy.

Candy donations can be dropped off at the Rec Gym anytime before the parade.

Amelia County Parks & Recreation Youth Basketball is gearing up for another exciting season, and we want YOU to be part of the action!

🏀 Ages: 4–15
💰 Registration Fee: Early Bird $85 until November 7
$95 - November 8 - November 23
Late Fee Added November 24 - $115
📅 Season: November 23, 2026 - February 21, 2027

Whether your child is picking up a basketball for the first time or is already sinking shots, this is a great opportunity to learn, grow, compete, and have fun! 🙌

📣 AMELIA LEAGUE 2027 SEASON UPDATE!!!

We have a few exciting updates and important dates to share as we prepare for another season!

This Year’s League Format:
Due to the size of our league, we are going to try something a little different this year! For this coming season, we will only be playing teams that are registered within the Amelia league. We want to test this format out, see how it works for our players and teams, and evaluate things as the season progresses.

We appreciate everyone’s flexibility as we try this approach and look forward to seeing how it goes!

📅 IMPORTANT DATES
Registration Opens: September 8th
Registration Closes: October 9th

Depending on the number of registrations we receive, we will determine whether to accept late registrations and/or open registration to the public after October 9th.

⭐ Advanced Placement & Evaluations
We are working to finalize these dates | Tentative dates are:

October 16th OR November 6th — Advanced Placement
🕕 6:00 PM: Elementary level looking to advance to the Middle
🕖 7:00 PM: Middle School level looking to advance to the High School level

October 17th OR November 7th - Team Evaluations

We will announce the confirmed dates as soon as they are locked in!

PRACTICES & SEASON
Practices begin January 4th. Your practice night will be determined by the team you are placed on.

The season will run January through March, with a tournament in March to conclude the league season! 🏆

We are excited to get another season underway and appreciate everyone's continued support of our league and players!
