Last Friday, we celebrated another amazing year at our Annual Therapeutics Celebration! 🎉

This year’s theme was sports! 🏀⚽️🏈🥇

We had a great time celebrating the accomplishments, friendships, memories, and growth that made this year so special. Most importantly, we got to recognize the incredible individuals who make our Therapeutics program what it is. 💙

A huge thank you to our participants, families, staff, volunteers, and community partners for helping make another year one to remember!

July is Park and Recreation Month, and we’re celebrating everything we love about parks, recreation, and community!

Yesterday was the kickoff of our Healthy Habits Program! Our participants had a great time playing games, enjoying a quick yoga session, and creating their own trail mix snacks and yogurt parfaits. 🥨🍓

We’re excited to help everyone build healthy habits while having fun along the way! 💪😊💚

What a fun-filled weekend at the Special Olympics State Games! 🏅💙

Our athletes did an outstanding job in their swim competitions. We are so proud of all they accomplished and are already looking forward to next year’s State Games! 🎉🌊🏊‍♂️

What an unforgettable day with Hoover Therapeutic Recreation! 🌊🐠🥤

Our group had an amazing time exploring the Georgia Aquarium and the World of Coca-Cola! From seeing incredible marine life up close to experiencing the history, flavors, and fun of Coca-Cola, the day was filled with smiles, laughter, learning, and lasting memories.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this trip possible and to our participants for bringing the energy and joy all day long. We can’t wait for the next adventure! ❤️🩵

Thank you, NCHPAD, UAB, and all partners for helping create meaningful and inclusive sport experiences for our participants! It was a joy to see everyone engaged, encouraged, and having fun through adapted futsal and sitting volleyball. Grateful to be part of collaborations that continue expanding access and opportunities in our community. 💙
