Haven is a 2.5-year-old Dutch Harness x Thoroughbred mare who is lightly started under saddle and ready for someone to take her in any direction. She has a good brain, is easy to train, and is a pleasure to work with. I have cantered her under saddle once, and she currently walks and trots both directions under saddle. She will walk, trot, and canter both ways on the lunge line and stands quietly at the mounting block.
Haven is sound with no known injuries, requires no supplements, and does not wear shoes. She has all the basic ground manners and is easy to handle. She clips, bathes, loads, ties, and stands well for the farrier and vet.
She has been trail ridden once and handled it well. She is still very green under saddle, so she is not suitable for a beginner. She would be a great project for an experienced rider looking for a young horse with a solid mind and the potential to be finished in their preferred direction.
Because Haven is still a baby, I will NOT be allowing interested buyers to ride her. I am intentionally keeping her training light, easy, and consistent, and I do not feel putting a variety of new riders on a young, green horse is beneficial to her education or development. Buyers are absolutely welcome to come meet her, groom her, lunge her, and watch me ride her so you can get a feel for her personality, manners, and current training.
She is a clean slate with a good foundation, a great brain, and tons of potential! 🦄
