Our original power couple are moving back to Canberra, Tess and Michael.
He's from Darwin, so he grew up watching the fastest footy players alive. She's from Adelaide, but somehow never played until moving to Hawai'i... but caught right on.
They've opened their home for Eagles events, transported gear, represented the Eagles gear across the world, given rides, played hard, started a running group, and really built some community with the other players. Michael even had his dad play while visiting, and also got them to be our Aussie distributors for our training tops.
Tess showed that weight doesn't mean much, and have definitely seen her lay hits and shepherds on dudes who literally have 100 lbs. on her. She is fearless, and caught on quickly to this game. She can play ruck, and has some serious ups when jumping ability. Also, her skills an endurance athlete have had a lot of impact when the dudes with beer guts are struggling in the 4th quarter.
Michael is our best player, and a great dude, despite being a Hawthorn Football Club fan. He can run the ground and at times just took it easy on us, but didn't hesitate to light 'em up when he needed to. He's an all around beast playing in the middle, and will be missed. Super modest and loved to make sure teammates got touches, even though he could have just scores 15 majors in a game if he wanted.
They're great people, and some AFLNSWACT team will be so lucky to have them both.
