Big Reidee Lures

Some may know that my son Reid is the inspiration behind “Big Reidee”.

Back then I thought I could instill a lifetime of fishing knowledge into him. He went fishing with us back then but followed a higher calling.

“Big Reidee”——————>”PhD Reidee” and I couldn’t be prouder.

Another text this afternoon from
Jonah. I made a couple of heads for him to give to his dad for his dad’s birthday a few weeks ago.

He got a double with both heads today around 150 # and 110 #.

He’s happy……and made me happy. 😉🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽

Yesterday was a memorable day for Capt. Keith and Kyle. I had mentioned to him that the ahi were biting good this past week off Haleiwa and Kaneohe and maybe on their way to Maui.

At 6 am he sent me a pic of the Maui sunrise and I thought “beautiful”…….and an omen.

Around 20 minutes later he texts “We on!”

Before 7 am and he gets an ahi on a BR Pusher.

A couple hours later he texts me “We on!” with a follow-up text saying “Got em, getting bigger!” BR slant

A couple hours later another text “We on!”

Then a few hours later “one marlin got to drag um home😂”. Same BR Pusher from the first ahi, the Marlin going 636 #.

“think if wasn’t for the marlin we would have got more ahis”

Sorry for spoiling your trip to get more ahi Capt. Keith and Kyle! 😉🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽

I keep getting these messages and have no idea why.

I always say “go make memories”.

Capt. Keith just texted me “My first sail”. In Hawaii, they’re rare. And he’ll remember this “first” for sure. 😉

“got on your lure! no ahis today.” Also mahi and otaru 👍🏾”

I told him “Never mind, at least no bolohead”.
