Level 2 worked on jumping in with the right cross to set up a leg kick. It was… challenging. But everything is challenging the first time around. Hard until it’s easy, baby!

Theme of the week: Guess the time of year. Everyone stepped out of their comfort zones to do their greatest depiction of a time of year. Was it clear? Not really. 😆 But it’s the willingness that matters! 💪

A couple of students used Thai pads for the first time this week. Very different from mitts? Absolutely. Hard and worth it, just like everything else in Muay Thai. And we love that they branched out into new classes, fortune favors the bold.

End of class theme: What does freedom sound like? Apparently, it sounds very different depending on the person. 🤣 Warriors are not afraid to step out of their comfort zone, even if it involves skipping and giggling. Or pretending to be a singing witch.💪

Leg day round two and scissor pushkicks made their first appearance. Something we don’t usually touch this early, but now we can and our Women+ were ready.

Students have been asking what “The Eight” means. Muay Thai is the Art of Eight Limbs — fists, elbows, knees, shins. Two of each equals eight weapons all on your body. Brilliant, right?

End-of-class theme: You just took a bite of something, what is your reaction? Every class chose their own food, some more obvious than others. Maybe none obvious at all, haha. Going from badass to goofy can be a stretch, but that’s the whole point.
