Golfers, please note that we are transitioning to our autumn schedule. Starting this month, our driving range hours will change to the following:
Monday – Friday: 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Saturday & Sunday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM

*Also, we will be closed Sept. 8- Sept. 11th.

Our last Summer 2026 “Meet the Team”, The Ultimate Resource, Dave Cochrane. Dave grew up right here in Honeoye Falls. From 1968 to 1974, he served in the U.S. Navy as an oceanographic technician, where he specialized in the high-stakes work of detecting and tracking submarines. After his military service, Dave brought his sharp technical mind back ashore. He spent a highly successful career engineering, designing, and supervising teams for local manufacturing powerhouses Gleason and Lightnin Mixers. Dave retired at age 55, but his passion for precision and staying active brought him to our driving range. He truly knows something about everything, making him the ultimate problem solver on the turf. Whether you need a quick tip or just a warm conversation, Dave is always a friendly face ready to help our guests.

Meet the Team: Our Steady Eddy, Andrew Stansbury, has been a practical fixture at the range, bringing a versatile skillset to the crew over the past couple of summers. A local who grew up in Honeoye Falls–Lima and graduated from HFL, Andrew is now studying Philosophy at the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C., and is currently preparing for an exciting semester abroad in Rome. At the range, he balances front-of-house responsibilities by working the counter. While he is a man of few words, Andrew is also known for being funny and kind. His days are packed with a wide variety of tasks, ranging from managing customer check-ins to ball picking, mowing, w**d whacking, sifting dirt, and fixing the range netting and targets. Andrew’s dependable, multi-talented presence keeps both our operations and infrastructure solid while he pursues his academic goals, and we are incredibly grateful for his hard work over the seasons as we wish him the best of luck on his upcoming journey to Italy.

Meet the Team: The Utility Player, Kasey Dyer Jerome. While Kasey spent all of this summer helping out at Dyer Straights, it actually marks her first full summer working at the range since her high school days back in 1994! Outside of teaching 8th-grade English and coaching in Bethel, Maine—where her husband, Brad, is still back home holding down the fort—Kasey loved assisting her family's operations. This summer also kept her close to her daughters, Riley (a Babson student-athlete interning at Wegmans) and Quinn (a St. Lawrence softball player working at Lakehouse in Canandaigua), who both also catered for Nolan’s. True to her title, Kasey thoroughly enjoyed working alongside her brother and assisting her family, Barb and Walt, by stepping into whatever role was needed. Her responsibilities included greeting golfers, running our social media, w**ding the gardens, and handling ground operations like picking balls and sifting dirt. She was frequently accompanied by her trusted dogs, W***y and Ellie, who loved helping out around the range too. We are incredibly grateful for her hard work and the friendly face she brought to the team. Be sure to say hello before she heads back to the classroom this fall!

Meet the Team Week: The Workhorse, Tim “Diesel” Dyer. If things ran a little smoother, stayed exactly on target, and felt a lot brighter around the range this summer, you have Tim to thank. He traded his real world gig at Liberty skis for a two-month summer sprint at the range and to spend some well-deserved quality time with family! True to his nickname, Tim proved to be an absolute workhorse. He treated every single day as a fresh project, keeping our operations moving efficiently and tackling the heavy lifting without missing a beat. More than just a hard worker, Tim kept the days fun, active, and always positive. Tim has now headed back to Colorado to gear up for his “real” job with Liberty Skis. We are incredibly grateful for his hard work and the vibes he always brings. These shots show Tim’s professional passion and shows him doing what he does best, shredding on his favorite brand.
