Running a small business comes with struggles big and small.

Today just wanted to share this small one that happens each time I’m packing these individual kits. Also a great reminder that a number of our products are still packed by me by hand!

For my fellow business owners share one small (or big) struggle you deal with each and every time.

Make it. Learn it. Celebrate it.

💕 Raksha Bandhan is the perfect opportunity to turn a festival into a hands-on experience for kids - making rakhis and learning about the traditions behind the celebration is a regular feature here. This year junior co-founder not only made a unique rakhi but also a very innovate box to put it in. This was a mega project for her and a definite screen-free mom win! 🎨🧵✨

I love that she has embraced her commitment to making a rakhi every year. Each year she celebrates through play. No store bought rakhi here!

Somewhere along the way, I realized my daughter knew more about Christmas and Easter than she knew about Diwali, Holi or Rakhi.

So I started using what she already loved - crafts and play - to make our festivals just as fun and familiar.
That little idea became Pink Burfi. ❤️

If you want to make Indian festivals more hands-on with your kids, comment CELEBRATE and I’ll send you the link to our Celebration Boxes.

Cool. Cool cool cool.

So while the algorithm and I work through our differences, I’ll be outside dancing in the rain with Junior Co-founder and pretending I don’t care about my Insights.

(I care. Obviously. 😂)

But I’m choosing the memories today. ☔️💗

Rakhi emojis we deserve 🎀

Saw this fun trend and it really hit home! How is there an emoji for everything but no emoji for a Rakhi?!

We need:
🧵 a Rakhi
👫 siblings tying Rakhi
🍬 mithai
🎁 the classic Rakhi gift

Which one are you voting for? Which Raksha Bandhan emoji would you add? 👇

This adjustable double knot is now my preferred way to finish off any Rakhi. It’s sleek and adjustable, which means you can put the Rakhi on, take it off, and wear it again - no complicated knots for tiny hands.

Perfect for little hands (and for moms who would love for the kids to really own the Rakhi tying 😄).

Save this for when you’re ready to make yours, and send it to someone making a Rakhi this year! 🎀

Short. Simple. Non-messy.
With a little bit of Indian tradition made with tiny hands.

This is why we do what we do. 💕

Packing a little box of Rakhi memories. It’s been a while since i shared some behind the scenes of how Pink Burfi Activity Boxes are packaged - The answer is with a lot of care and love💕 Every activity is carefully selected and ever more thoughtfully packed.

Loved by Parents and kids alike. Our Raksha Bandhan Activity Box was designed to make it easy for families to bring Indian traditions into their kids’ everyday play. 🎨🧵🎁

You asked… so here’s the knot - but slower!

A few of you asked how to make the final knot on the DIY Rakhi from my last reel - so here’s the easiest way to finish it!

✨ The best part? This adjustable knot means you can put the Rakhi on, take it off, and wear it again - no complicated knots for tiny hands.

Perfect for little hands (and for moms who would love for the kids to really own the Rakhi tying 😄).

Save this for when you’re ready to make yours, and send it to someone making a Rakhi this year! 🎀
