Yesterday our team headed out to the course for the Golf Fore Literacy outing, benefiting Literacy Volunteers of Somerset County (LVSC). We sponsored a hole and spent the day alongside a great group of golfers, all in support of adults right here in our community working to build stronger English literacy and language skills.
This was our 4th year showing up for LVSC, and it never gets old. Literacy affects everything, job opportunities, helping kids with homework, feeling confident navigating everyday life, and LVSC has been doing this quiet, essential work since 1981.
It was a genuinely beautiful day: sunshine, friendly competition, and a whole lot of good people rallying around a cause worth showing up for.
