Well it was definitely a long hot weekend in Troy, Illinois for Smoke N for the Kids! John Kroot always puts on an awesome comp! This is where it all started out two years ago for us, so it’s a treat to cook every year, not to mention the fact we grew up there! We turned in what we thought were some good boxes this weekend, and the judges agreed with a few, but boy were we cooking against some heavy hitters all weekend!

A couple highlights were a day 1 10th place call in pork! D-Rock nailed it! And a Day 2 5th place call in chicken that I absolutely hated, but got a good score from the judges haha.

Congrats to day 1 Grand Champions 1 Bite Stand and RGC Scuffletown Smokers BBQ Team
Day 2 GC Janky Leg BBQ while Scuffletown smokers pulled another RGC, I’d say that’s pretty consistent cooking! Congrats to everyone else that heard their name called!
