🐉🎶 Saturday morning started with a three hour “Imagine a Dragon” studio rehearsal. Then it was off to Patrick Beaver Memorial Library for Books to Broadway, as Ms. Leanna and a few princesses shared the magic of storytelling and musical theatre with our community. 🐉📚

We can’t wait to share our free performance of “Imagine a Dragon” with you all!

🩰 Today it’s an audition for The Nutcracker. Someday it might be a job interview✨

Auditions are FUN, exciting, and full of anticipation. But they are so much more. Every time students walk into an audition, they practice showing up prepared, managing their nerves, carefully listening, performing under pressure, and confidently showing what they can do.

They also learn that not every opportunity will turn out how they had hoped, but they can still grow and be proud of themselves! Now they impatiently wait for the cast list to be released 😉

☀️ Summer at HBPA = the BEST kind of busy! 💙✨

Looking back, what an incredible summer we had. From ballet intensives that challenged our dancers to grow, to Mini Dancer Camps filled with imagination and movement, to musical theatre productions that brought stories to life on stage, our studios were FULL of creativity, learning, laughter, and fun all summer long! 🩰🎭✨

Thank you to everyone who made Summer 2026 at HBPA unforgettable!

We loved welcoming our dancers, families, and friends to our Open House and celebrating our inductees into the National Honor Society for Dance Arts (NHSDA)! 💙

And the excitement is just getting started! Our Fall Classes began on Monday, but there’s still time to register and join us.

Looking for social connection? Adults are invited to Move Together in this free basic dance and movement class set to popular music! Join us on September 5th from 10am-12pm at Centro Latino (151 25th St SW Hickory, NC) for this fun event taught by the Hickory Ballet & Performing Arts and presented in partnership with Centro Latino and Arts Culture Catawba

In Pre-Ballet our youngest dancers (ages 3 and 4) discover the joy of movement while developing important foundational skills. As they progress into Ballet 1 (ages 5 and 6)they begin building ballet technique.

ALL levels of ballet develop:
🩰 Strong bodies
🧠 Creative minds
✅ Confident humans!

Come to our Open House from 10 to noon this Saturday to meet some dancers, teachers, and tour the studio!
