Eli Update! He was able to come off fluids and return to regular diet. He has not come off IV stress dosing yet though. ...

Eli Update! He was able to come off fluids and return to regular diet. He has not come off IV stress dosing yet though. Endocrine came around earlier and is starting to the think his inability to hold things down may actually be him starting to go in adrenal crisis on top of his GI flare and not just a GI flare and are going to rework his stress dosing plan and whether or not he needs to go back on everyday steriods. It seems that the only way to reverse when he becomes that symptomatic is IV stress dosing so there is an adrenal issue exacerbating he flared GI symptoms.
We are still waiting for some additional lab results to come back and then they will replan from there.

Whomp Whomp! We were doing so good for a big stretch and I tried everything I could possibly do at over the weekend, but ultimately GI & Endo decided it was time to come in for some fluids and IV stress dosing. His blood work cam back a little abnormal and his xray showed what we thought it would show. Still waiting on rounds and the exact plan but for now hes resting.

Let's talk anxiety! Eli struggles with intense anxiety that he can hide really well even around those that know him well. If you ever seen open "cuts" on him they are actually from him picky his skin so bad due to the anxiety building up in him. Sometimes you can see him doing it but others he does it while your talking to him and you wont even know.

He doesnt let loose often and yesterday at the first day back to hockey I actually caught him letting loose. They say goalies are a special bread sometimes and I guess they are right when he breaks out the dance moves with no music playing 🤣 I would love to know what song or beat popped in his head. Eli loves a good beat and if it's got a beat he can teach himself whatever he wants. I have watched him learn an insane amount of facts about the solar system because he liked the beat.

It was nice to see him back in the ice, doing what he loves!
