What if one experience could help your child feel more confident walking into a room full of people they don’t know?

That’s one of the things we hope to give students through Cotillion Social. ❤️

We aren’t simply teaching kids which fork to use.

We’re helping them learn how to:

✨ Introduce themselves confidently
✨ Communicate with adults and peers
✨ Navigate social situations
✨ Practice emotional intelligence
✨ Show respect and consideration
✨ Carry themselves with confidence

And this year, we’re making that opportunity more accessible through 20 scholarships for students in grades 5–8.

There is no limit on applications, so we encourage every eligible family to apply.

We’re looking for students in grades 5–8 who would benefit from an experience designed to build confidence, communication, social skills, and emotional intelligence.

20 scholarships will be awarded, and there is no limit to the number of applications we will accept.

We could have edited that part out but we didn’t. And honestly, that’s exactly why we wanted to share this ❤️

When we asked these boys for their honest feedback after last year’s Cotillion Social, they didn’t shy away from telling us what they really thought. Dancing wasn’t their favorite, and yes… parts of it felt awkward. But they still had fun, and they walked away having experienced something new.

And that’s the point.

We’re not trying to create a world where our students never feel awkward or uncomfortable. We’re teaching them how to navigate those moments.

How to introduce themselves.
How to carry a conversation.
How to communicate with confidence.
How to show respect.
How to handle uncomfortable situations with maturity.
How to conduct themselves in the real world.

These may seem like small things, but they are life skills they’ll use every single day.

Our goal is to help shift the mindset from “I don’t know what to do” to “I know how to handle this.”

Because becoming a confident, responsible young adult isn’t about knowing everything..it’s about having the skills and confidence to navigate whatever life puts in front of you ❤️

We have been keeping a very special announcement!

Because of the incredible generosity of our community sponsors, 20 Cotillion Scholarships will be available for students participating in this year's Cotillion Social.

Twenty young people will have the opportunity to experience an evening and a program designed to build confidence, strengthen social skills, encourage leadership, teach timeless etiquette, and help prepare them to walk into any room with poise and purpose.

Beginning families will be invited to submit a scholarship application sharing why they would love for their child to participate and what they believe this experience could mean for them.

And our community will get to be part of the celebration, too. ✨

Over the coming weeks, we'll also introduce the generous sponsors who made these opportunities possible and announce scholarship recipients in several rounds.

ROUND 1: THE FOUNDING SCHOLARSHIP ROUND

Cotillion Social is open to students in grades 5–8 and helps young people build confidence, communication, leadership, character, etiquette, and the social skills to walk into any room with poise and purpose.

These scholarships are about more than financial need — they’re about expanding access and investing in young people who could grow from this experience.

Families will share why they would like their child to participate and what they hope they’ll gain from the program.

IMPORTANT: Families only need to apply once! If your child isn’t selected in Round 1, their application will automatically remain eligible for future scholarship rounds.

Recipients must be able to attend all four sessions:

Applications will be reviewed by the Cotillion Social scholarship committee based on the information provided, including the student’s circumstances, why they would like to participate, and what they hope to gain from the experience.

Our goal is to thoughtfully select students who would genuinely benefit from this opportunity while helping make Cotillion Social accessible to families in our community.

We are SO close to launching our Cotillion Social scholarship opportunities, and we’ve honestly been waiting for this moment!

We’re finalizing one last community sponsorship, and once that’s in place, we’ll officially be ready to open scholarship applications to local 5th–8th grade students.

We created Cotillion Social because we believe confidence, communication, etiquette, kindness, and emotional intelligence are skills every student deserves the opportunity to develop—and we want to make this experience accessible to students who may not otherwise have the opportunity to attend.
