10 months. That’s how long it took us to get to this point.

10 months of challenges, lessons learned through trial and error, and learning how to pivot. We definitely chose the unconventional way.

Having a Finish Cancer team wasn’t in the original cards, but we decided to make the best of it.

At first, it was difficult because we didn’t fully believe in what we were doing. We had doubts, just like others did. Like where the money was actually going. Sure, we did our research. But until you actually see it, it’s hard to truly believe it.

There were several moments along this journey where the impact hit us. The moment it really set in was at 2AM, right before we started the race. We had just picked up our race packets and, being first timers, didn’t pack tape to put the van bibs on the windshields.

We asked a van next to us if they had some tape. They were kind enough to help us and show us where to put the bibs.

Through conversation, we asked if it was their first time. They said no. They were a cancer team.

Not knowing there was a difference, we said, “So are we!”

Little did we know there were fundraising Finish Cancer teams and cancer teams made up of cancer survivors.

We asked if they had been treated at Providence. About half of them had been.

Then they thanked us for being a fundraising team.

That was the moment it truly hit us what we had contributed to.

And we can’t help but think about everyone who supported us along the way.

Our family and friends who supported us.

Our community members who show up to our group runs and attended our Finish Cancer Run.

Our sponsors who believed in the cause and our vision. The Finish Cancer Run was proof that we chose the right path and that it was all for a purpose.

We truly could not have done it without all the support.

Something we hold highly at BBTM is giving back. We want to be intentional in partnering with people and businesses that also want to give back as much as we do. Those partnerships are the ones we cherish because we believe that speaks volumes!

From the bottom of our hearts, BBTM thanks everyone who helped us reach this huge milestone.

Our hearts are full. ❤️

Out-N-Back, everyone’s favorite & ours too!

We’re so grateful for the community we’re building. Week after week, we continue to see new faces, more kids, families, and people showing up simply to move their bodies and challenge themselves.

Whether you’re stepping outside of your comfort zone, meeting new people, chasing a PR, getting your steps in, or just showing up for yourself, everyone comes for a different reason. And that’s what makes this community so special.

We strive to continue bringing you great energy and creating a run you look forward to every week.

Message of the week: Be a try-hard.

Every successful person is passionate about what they do. Show up with great energy in everything you do, not just running.

Your energy is contagious. It can shape your mindset, influence the people around you, and make or break your day.

So keep showing up. Keep trying. Keep challenging yourself.

Much love,
BBTM 🩶
