Happy birthday.
It seems like just yesterday we were talking about everything and nothing. Lately, I find myself wondering if the universe somehow knew you were meant to shine so incredibly bright, even if only for a short time. It would explain your drive, your passion, and your selflessness.

I will never forget the joy you brought to everyone around you, and my heart will always hold your spirit. There are very few people I have ever met who were as determined as you, Takeshi. You would have been 32 today, and in our hearts, you are. Gone, but never forgotten.

We will miss Bernice Sensei very much. We had the honor of welcoming her to Henderson Aikido just a few years ago, and her joy, generosity, and skill were as brilliant as ever.
