LVC Team Bad Ass had one hell of a workday on Sunday!

We (1) added a new LONG (Club) tee pad for MILL 1 (was MILL 15 in 2025), see image 2, which should allow for a few more birdies from the MPO/MP40 divisions (note MP50/MA1, the other two divisions that also play the LONG/Club layouts, don't play Course Millennium during the LVC, & we are leaving the old long tee pad in place as a Course Starter staging area); (2) added a new CASUAL SHORT tee pad for MILL 1 (was MILL 15 in 2025, about a 230' hole, demanding a very accurate shot - see image 3); (3) updated & repacked the LONG (Club) tee pad for MILL 2 - see image 4). Prior the Sunday workday, we also (A) added a railroad tie to support a picturesque tree by the LONG (Club) tee pad for INF 15 (see image 5) and (B) trimmed up a lot of bushes around the tee pad for MILL 13.

No more new tee pads for the 2026 LVC!

We finished the afternoon with ranch chicken sandwiches and watermelon provided by Jessica Jacquart (see image 6)!

Our next two (2) workdays are Sunday, September 13th (the Sunday after LVDGC Bag Tag), starting at 8:30 AM & then Sunday, October 4th (also the Sunday after the LVDGC Bag Tag).

We have eight existing tee pads to redo, remove and old half tee pad that is no longer in use, and some major tree trimming for an alleyway (see image 7). (Sept. - Focus will be (1) remove the half tee pad, old D.Z. for MILL 1 (was MILL 15 in 2025), (2) flip & repack INF 2 Short/Diamond, (3) trim alley for INF 2, (4) flip & repack INF 3 Short/Diamond, (5) place new turf on top of existing turf for MILL 7, and (6) repack MILL 10 Short/Diamond with 3 bags of 3/8" gravel.) (Oct. - Focus will be (1) flip & repack INF 5, (2) flip & repack INF 7, (3) flip & repack MILL 15 Short/Diamond, and (4) place new turf on top of existing turf for MILL 16 Long/Club.)

Thank you Valerie Steinbaum ($41 in JELLC credit), K.F. Headley ($63 in JELLC credit & I owe you an Innova FS disc), Pete G ($15 in JELLC credit & I owe you an Innova FS disc), John Ricker Jr. via Dodie Ricker (at least $30 in JELLC credit & I owe you an Innova FS disc), John Raburn ($30 in JELLC credit & I owe you an Innova FS disc), Jeromy Olsen ($56 on JELLC credit & I owe you an Innova FS disc), Ronnie Ruhl (I owe you an Innova FS disc), Jason Koemans (I owe you an Innova FS disc), and Jessica Jacquart (1,000 JELLC body massages) for your time on Sunday!

Tier IV registration for the 2026 LVC presented by Innova Discs starts this Friday, July 24th, at 5 PM PST.

Tier IV includes allowing mixed players with ratings of 980+ and female players with ratings of 865+ to register after 5 PM PST on July 24th.

Tier IV also includes sponsors of $250+ cash / $350+ in merchandise. LVC Team Bad Ass had a great work crew on Sunday, even with temperatures well above 100 degrees!

We (1) added some pink PVC O.B. markers along the backside of INN 9's basket (see image 2), which helps identify the O.B. line for casual play AND makes it easier to string rope during the LVC event; (2) added a new CASUAL SHORT tee pad for INN 10 (about a 300', demanding, straight shot - see image 3); (3) for what seems like the twentieth time, repacked the SHORT (Diamond) tee pad for INF 10 (the soil around the area is very soft, so added some 3/8" gravel underneath to help steady the surface - see image 4); and (4) shifted the LONG (Club) tee pad for INF 11 about 12' to the right so the tee pad was aiming at the new basket location instead of the basket imbedded in the fallen tree (which is now used as Basket 12 on Course Innova - see image 5).

We finished the afternoon with BBQ sandwiches, potato salad, and grapes provided by Jessica Jacquart! (Again, I forgot to take a pic of the buffet!)

Our next workday is Sunday, August 2nd (the Sunday after LVDGC Bag Tag), starting at 8:30 AM.

We have two more new tee pads to do, and the remaining are repacks! (See image 6 for our overall improvement plan. Yes, by the time I am done torturing Team Bas Ass, over 38 tee pads will be constructed or repacked ... that is more than two full courses!)

Thank you Kip Headly ($63 in JELLC credit), Peter Beaulieu (at least $30 in JELLC credit), Pete Gargotto ($30 in JELLC credit), John Ricker Jr. (at least $30 in JELLC credit), Scott Merritt (at least $30 in JELLC credit), John Raburn ($30 in JELLC credit), James Beck ($15 in JELLC credit), Stephan Self ($15 in JELLC credit), and Jessica Jacquart (1,000 JELLC body massages) for your time on Sunday!

The $500 or more gets you (1) three early registration spots and three full-event passes, (2) three LVC thank you discs, (3) logo on three tee signs and two tournament central signs, and (4) logo promoted through our social media outlets.

Tier III also includes a handful of naming rights for a few special events, such as the Distance Competition, Putting Competition, Snacks & Water Station, or one of four Volunteer Lunches .... for a slightly elevated cost ($750 instead of $500). The extra $250 also gets you a 10' x 10' vending space, an extra early registration spot (so four instead of three), and an extra full-event pass (four instead of three). (Note Naming Rights company cannot compete with products produced by Innova Discs - the LVC is an Innova-centric event!!!)

One early registration can sign up and pay the $500 (or $750) at the same time. Then, in the notes, leave the names, PDGA numbers, and divisions being played of the other three (or four) players, and we will add them manually to the DGS "Invitations" list ASAP ... so then the other three or four early registration spot can register.

Professional mixed players with ratings of 1,000 or more, and female players with ratings of 890 or more can also still register. Mixed players with ratings of 980+ and female players with ratings of 865+ can register after 5 PM PST on July 24th.

As we start to kick off the 2026 Las Vegas Challenge presented by Innova with the Tier I sign-ups starting last week, we would like to thank our title sponsor, Innova Discs, for their continued support!

It is looking like Innova will be donating over $75,000 in goods and services as the Title sponsor! ($50,000 in merchandise; $20,000 in borrowed items like baskets, sign bases, & lots of Innova staff flown in and housed; $5,000 in art support; and more!)

Including this year, over the last 27 years, Innova's total support will exceed $1.1 million! (We are so blessed Innova knows the LVC volunteers make the event feel like a major, for all players!)

Thank you Innova for supporting the LVC again, and again, and again! We love you!

Tier I registration, which includes sponsors of $2,500 or more AND volunteers, starts tonight at 5 PM PST.

So far, our Tier I sponsors include Innova Discs, Innova Discs Factory Store, Infinite Discs, Millennium Golf Discs, Wildhorse Golf Club, Pete Johnson, Above Ground Level Discs, Dgnomad, Dream Disc Golf Company, The Las Vegas Disc Golf Club, Home Grown Remedy CBD, Lee Canyon, and Jacquart Events LLC!

The registration page can be found at https://www.discgolfscene.com/tournament/2026_Las_Vegas_Challenge_presented_by_Innova

Additionally, because the PDGA rules state that early registrations tied to sponsors and volunteers cannot exceed more than half the division cap OR one-third of the total pool, those limited have been reduced appropriately. On August 7th, the total cap will increase from 167 to 557, the pro cap will increase from 86 to 287, the am cap will increase from 81 to 270. Additionally, each of the division caps will double or more (for example, the MA1 will increase from 40 to 80).

As is the norm, please post any questions or concerns here.

P.S. At this time, the LVC does not offer the 5-year age divisions. Until the PDGA surveys all master players on this issue versus around 60, and once the PDGA reduces the trophy requirements to something affordable (we have 26 divisions, so at least 50 trophies needed), the LVC will stick to the divisions broken down by 10-years.

Well, it is that time again, and if you didn't know, we moved the LVC to November! (Veterans Week!)

Tier I registration goes live this Friday at 5 PM PST for the 2026 LVC
at https://www.discgolfscene.com/tournament/2026_Las_Vegas_Challenge_presented_by_Innova

Tier I includes Sponsors of $2,500 or more and Volunteers. Spectators (or those that want a week-long parking pass) can also start to register this Friday (there is no fee to watch the LVC, but there is a small parking fee if you want to park at Wildhorse), and so can General Sponsors.

There is a six-tier sign up process this year. Registration Opens to All on August 7th, at 5 PM PST. Th way our tier registration process works is, the more you sponsor, the sooner you can register. Also, the PDGA rules only allows 1/2 of each division and no more than 1/3 of the total number of players to register early as a volunteer or sponsor. So, we expect early registration for those two categories to fill for all professional mixed divisions. (You have been warned!)

For those that have played the LVC before, you know we meet or exceed the PDGA MAJOR standards! For those that haven't played, come give us a try...and you'll likely never miss the event in the future!

There is a lot of information on the registration page, so make sure you check out the posted documents for detailed information! We will also be amending the fliers to accommodate a one-day, one-round, C-Tier Juniors event on Course Infinite on Sunday! (More to come.)

There is a flier titled "Why the LVC." (Also posted below.) The LVC does really, really try to be one of the top-notch events in the west! The is also a 2-page flier titled "General Info," which the title is self-explanatory, but page two contains DRAFT course assignments and DRAFT tee order. An over schedule (also posted below) is also summarized in a flier. Our varies sponsorship levels, and the perks for each, also has its own flier (and posted below).

This year, you can pre-order a few goodies. The co-branded Sexton Firebird and Heimburg Toro are one of those options. (See flier and below.) We are also taking orders for full-zip jackets this year, INNColor Discs from this year and the last two years (when we didn't run INNColor Discs), and a slew of INNColor Minis (up to 40)! (See fliers.)

Additional fliers will be posted soon, and updated on our official website at www.lvcdg.com.

Of course, feel free to post any questions here.

After taking May off, LVC Team Bad Ass had a great work crew on Sunday.

We added a new LONG (CLUB) tee pad for INF 9. (See image 2.) The long tee pad was about 815' from the baskert, and has a gap between two large trees for righties or a second gap between two other trees for lefties, and both gaps requires a very controlled power drive. This will be the only Par 5 on Course Infinite for the Club Layout!

We cleaned up and repacked the SHORT (DIAMOND) tee pad for INF 9. (See image 3.) This will be the only Par 5 on Course Infinite for the Club Layout! (735' long.)

We also added a new SUPER SHORT (CASUAL) tee pad for INF 9. (See image 4.) Distance is about 565', and known as the DEAL pad (after Dean Moorman & Earl Wilcox).

Additionally, we also moved tee pad 12 to a new location. (See image 5.) This hole is 414' long and a Par 3 for the Club Layout and a Par 4 for the Diamond layout. The basket is near where the old basket location was for INN 14 in 2025. (Requires a very clean short over a green, uphill the entire time.)

We finished the afternoon with build-your-own sandwiches, provided by Jessica Jacquart! (Forgot to take a pic of the sandwich buffet!)

We are still a little behind on our course improvements, and our next workday is Sunday, July 12th (the Sunday after Bag Tag), starting at 8:30 AM.

Our August workday is also already scheduled for Sunday, August 2nd (the Sunday after Bag Tag as well), starting at 8:30.

Thank you Kip Headly ($78 in JELLC credit), Jeromy Olsen ($56 in JELLC credit), Zena Olsen ($34 in JELLC credit), Peter Beaulieu (at least $15 in JELLC credit), Pete Gargotto ($15 in JELLC credit), Ronnie Ruhl ($17 in JELLC credit), John Ricker Jr. (at least $15 in JELLC credit), and Jessica Jacquart (100 JELLC body massages) for your time on Sunday!
