One week out from the UFC BJJ Open (UFC BJJ Opens and UFC BJJ).

If you're registered, these are the rules that are different from IBJJF. Not a jiu jitsu lesson — just what changed.

Pass is worth 2, not 3. Advantages don't exist. Penalties come off your own score instead of feeding your opponent. The stalling clock is 10 seconds, half of IBJJF's. You have 3 seconds to establish grips on a guard pull.

Swipe for the scoring table, the penalty ladder, six rules that don't exist at IBJJF, and the logistics that disqualify people before they ever step on the mat.

Every Saturday we combine Kids and Juniors for Battle Class — ages 6 through 14 on the mat together. The younger crew gets challenged. The older crew gets to coach. Nobody grows in a bubble. 🥋
