Derrick (VA) was a little bummed after first afternoon, seeing 25+ wild hogs and unable to get a shot at the one he wanted because it was using others to block a clear shot!
That feeling went away yesterday afternoon when he "didn't even hesitate" to drop this 181 lb 8 point right where he stood!

Our new friend Reed (NC) sent me a text this morning that read "I got a boar in front of me should let it walk?
Bad cell service where he was so he didn't get my text that replied "up to you!"

Not long after I got a text from him saying "I dropped the older deer!", referring to this 4.5 year old brute of a 6 point, vs the 3.5 year old eight point we discussed over game camera viewing that was also in the area.

Perfect shot and will make a wonderful and unique shoulder mount!

Blazing hot temps last few days. Blessed with an afternoon thunderstorm, great rain and 20° temp drop! The game loved it just as much as we did!

Um...unfortunately just one of our hunters from NC (David) connected on this big boar that kept running his deer off. In back his friend Travis clean missed a wide 7 point and David's son Bear (left) fired twice at a grown buck but he simply walked out of sight, unfased!

Good times and all smiles regardless! Proud to have this group in camp!

Even with a super dry summer, our hundreds of sawtooth oaks are LOADED and just now beginning to turn lose of a few acorns!
The next 3 weeks they will be hot spots!
