Monday doesn't need to be complicated. đ€
5 exercises. 5 reps. 5 rounds. 5 minutes. That's it, no hour-long gym session, no overthinking, no excuses.
Grab a medium set of dumbbells and knock this out before your coffee's even done brewing.
Because taking care of yourself shouldn't feel like a chore, it should feel like momentum. Save this for your next Monday reset đ

If youâre 40+, you already know your old workouts arenât working. Thatâs not the mystery.
The mystery is what to do instead.
As a 50 year-old, with over 20 years of fitness experience, I can tell you it usually comes down to five shifts. Not overhauls. Small changes that stack.
1. Cardio out, strength in. Iâm not anti-cardio. Walk. Hike. Take a spin class if you love it. But if strength training isnât the anchor of your week, youâre leaving results on the table. Muscle protects your bones, your joints, your metabolism, and your ability to keep doing everything else you love for the next 30 years.
2. Heavier weights, lifted with real effort. Somewhere along the way, women were sold the âlight weights, high repsâ story. Itâs wrong. Your muscles adapt to what challenges them, and the challenge has to come from intensity, not volume. Pick a weight where the last 1-2 reps feel genuinely hard. If you could keep going forever, itâs too light. This is where the real change happens.
3. Rest days arenât optional. Theyâre where the work you did actually turns into results. Sleep, protein, actual recovery. This is the difference between women who plateau and women who donât.
4. Chase strength, not sweat. Sweat is a hydration signal, not a progress signal. Are you lifting more than you were a month ago? Are your workouts feeling less crushing at the same weights? Thatâs progress. The scale, the mirror, the sweat, all lagging indicators of what strength has already built.
5. Build, donât punish. If you walk into every workout thinking âI have to earn my food today,â we need to have a talk. Working out is not punishment for existing in a body. Itâs how you build the body you want to keep living in.
None of this is about grinding harder. All of it is about training smarter for the body you have now.
Save this. Audit your next workout against it.
