Bruce and his son McCoy came from Idaho to see if they could get their hands on Bruce’s first mature bull. On the 2nd day we located this good looking 6 point and after a full day of playing checkers with him things finally fell into place.

‘Good enough’ is a phrase that I often find myself using to describe a successful hunt. Not everything always goes perfect and this is one example of that. A little bit of excitement goes a long way for the guy behind the gun and this shot landed in a spot that wasn’t perfect, but ended up being ‘good enough’. Bruce was able to get another follow up shot into him quickly and anchored his bull.

One more shameless plug here, it was a rain filled couple of days and the Kings Camo kept us comfy and hunting. The XKG lineup is solid and I continually find myself happy using it!

Jake teamed up with Layne and started us off with this super cool bull.

Jake had some unique health challenges to work through. He put in a remarkable amount of effort, including losing 100 Lbs over the summer to get ready. I’m a big believer in getting out what you put in and Jake earned every bit of this one!

Sometimes we have a rifle that just does things for us. Maybe it’s nostalgic, or just treats the eyes right. This is one of those for me. It’s an M77 Mark ll that I had re-barreled to 7prc.

I do a little bit of load development, and love taking on rifles that a guy would like to see shoot just a little bit better! Maybe it’s something that’s been in the safe for a while and needs a little attention, or one that you just haven’t felt confident in for one reason or another.
