Hazel Crest is a diverse community of 14,075 people located just 25 miles from Chicago. Situated on 3.4 square miles, the Village’s estimated median household income is $60,114, according to city-data.com, while the estimated median house or condo value is $178,903. Located in Cook County, Hazel Crest is bordered by Markham to the north, Harvey to the northeast, East Hazel Crest to the east, Homewood to the southeast, Flossmoor to the south and Country Club Hills to the west. The Village is divided among three Townships, with the greater part located in Bremen Township. Residents living south of 183rd Street are located in Rich Township; those living east of Western Avenue are in Thornton Township.
