It is that time of year again!! Are you registered yet? Ballet Petit’s Fall / Nutcracker 2026 Seasion of Classes starts the day after Labor Day. That is Tuesday, September 8! You have just a few days until then!

We have been dancing all summer for the past 9 weeks. It has been a great summer, but… it is almost Nutcracker time! We are so excited.

At Ballet Petit, we work hard, and have a great time doing it. We love what we are doing together, and treasure the experience we are sharing. Our teachers nurture and guide us along the way, while our parents deeply support our plans to help make the magic happen.

Registration for the upcoming session opened a few weeks ago, so many classes are nearing capacity. Don’t wait too long! This is an amazing time of year to be dancing, so hurry back, or come on in and see us in action.

Our 48th annual Nutcracker will be at Chabot on Saturday, 12/12/26, yes a week later than usual. This is because Chabot had a shift in their calendar that affected our dates. Note the date in your calendar.

Dancers must be registered for classes by 9/15 to dance in Nutcracker in December . The Late Registration period ends 9/30. Class space will be limited by then, so hurry back asap.

Dancers, it is almost Nutcracker Time!!! We know, we can hardly wait to get working on our beloved production.

Ballet starts up again on Monday. Let’s keep celebrating our best selves all summer long and in the studio together. Break is almost over. See you soon.

It has been a little too quiet during our break. We are looking forward to dancing together again. We definitely earned a nice break, while ballet classes beckons us back next week.

Heading to a summer intensive soon? Do you know someone who dances elsewhere who you would enjoy taking a class with? Eager to take a ballet class while we are still on break?

This summer, Miss Patience is once again offering a separate opportunity for Intermediate and Advanced level dancers to pop in for a class on certain Saturdays. These classes are not a part of the regular BP schedule.

Miss Patience’s special Saturday classes are called OPEN CLASSes.

These classes are open to current BP dancers, as well as dancers outside of our current BP dancer population. For example, some of our past dancers who are home from college for the summer may want to come. Past BP dancers who no longer dance here may want to come. Miss Patience has professional dancer friends who may take class here and there. BP dancers may bring friends who dance elsewhere, or are visiting.

Current BP dancers may come to some, or all of these classes, as long as they are currently leveled Intermediate or Advanced at BP.

It is a wonderful experience to take Open Classes. The mix is interesting and dancers can learn a lot from one another.

Open classes are paid for individually. When you come, be prepared to pay that day, cash or check written to Ballet Petit, or you may use our Venmo ( -Petit-Inc ) ahead of time.

These classes are $20 each.

The first of these classes will be held on Saturdays, June 27, July 11, and July 18 . These will always be offered from 11:00-12:30 at BP in Studio A.

The studio is opening up just for these classes, and is not open otherwise. Reservations are not required; you may just show up. The dress code is also open and not under BP’s usual dress code for regular classes. The studio will open shortly before these classes, and close shortly afterwards. There may be addition Saturday Open Classes offered through the rest of the summer. This is up to Miss Patience.

To our ballet dads and father figures, we appreciate you today and always. Thank you for helping us behind the scenes, even in some scenes, and in so many ways throughout the year. We know you are always there when we need you! It is great to have so many ballet dads at Ballet Petit these days.

We made it! It is finally time for
a short 3 week summer break!

We had such an amazing year, so we will rest for a bit, then we head back to ballet classes.

Most of us won’t be away from ballet class all summer. Come and join us July 6-September 3.

Summer session starts Monday, July 6 and ends Thursday, September 3, withclasses Mondays - Thursdays for summer only. Saturdays come back in September for Fall / Nutcracker session that starts on Tuesday, September 6.

Has the adrenaline rush slowed yet? We sure received a major blast on Saturday. Mine just finally crashed during the night, and then I woke up at 11:45AM today. Whew! What a wonderful run.
